Revera Churchill Place

My mom has recently joined the Churchill Place family (and I use that term sincerely...they treat residents like family) and I can’t express enough how highly I think of the facility and staff...both are exceptional.From day one ALL of the Churchill Place team members made my mom feel welcome and special. Going into a residence is difficult both for the new resident but also for the family. The Churchill Place team did everything they could to make the transition smooth and as stress free as possible.The accommodations are beautiful, the food fantastic and the events plentiful, well organized and imaginative. I have nothing but praise for this wonderful residence and their wonderful staff!

We cannot thank Executive staff, Amelia and Cynthia, and support staff at Rivera Churchill Place for their utmost attention and care in accommodating our mother after hospital foot surgery today in their respite care program. Amelia and Cynthia ensured that Mom had the warmest welcome and truly wonderful assisted living care. The food has been home cooked and the nursing care is second to none. We are so very grateful for all you have done and will continue to do. Rivera should be proud of this team at Churchill Place in Oakville. Thank you for making such a difference in the quality of recovery for Mom and for peace of mind for our entire family.

After hospitalization for a fall injury that happened at home, it become evident the best solution for my Mom’s ongoing health was to move her to a retirement home. It can be a daunting task and uncomfortable move finding a suitable home for a beloved parent. Our wish list was - a small intimate home with exceptional care, good-tasting nutritional meals and a fabulous social setting with supervised interesting activities. Our family was fortunate to have Revera Churchill Place recommended to us. It fit my Mom's requirements perfectly. I would also like to say - kudos to Amelia, the sales consultant at Churchill who never once used voice mail and patiently answered all of my questions beyond satisfaction. Further praise to Cynthia, the general manager, and the rest of her caring staff for making Mom’s transition to Churchill practically seamless. Mom is so well taken care of! But more importantly, months later, Mom is enjoying everything about her new home and she is happy. It used to be - if I didn’t call Mom after a few days, she’d be asking where I was. Now, fortunately, the shoe is on the other foot!

Initially, we were very pleased with the care my husband received at Churchill Place but I eventually decided to remove him, as the staff turnover increased and the food became worse. My husband's suggestions about the overall quality of meals served reached deaf ears with management. Unfortunately, the elevators were a constant source of concern which Revera did not take seriously enough as the double bank were usually down to one working elevator at least every month, including the day we moved him home. Group activities whittled down before COVID hit, men's group activities stopped altogether so eventually the reasons we moved him there, were the reasons we left.

My Grandmother moved into Churchill Place on July 24. After a long stay at the hospital, knowing she wasn't moving home" but rather into a new place was stressful for the whole family. Amillia

My father in law has been a resident at Churchill Place for the past seven years and is extremely happy there. I have been impressed with their caring and handling of the Covid 19 situation and keeping the residence Covid free. The entire team at Churchill Place can be counted on to keep everyone safe. Family members are kept in the loop by email, which both my wife and I find very reassuring. Different options were provided to keep in touch" with the residents and now outdoor visits on their beautiful patio are permitted provided the visitors are Covid tested negative every two weeks. A decision both my wife and I applaud and support. We are so happy my father in law chose Churchill Place."

The staff make family gatherings easy and memorable. They recently catered a tea for our family when my niece visited from Victoria with her toddler daughter. The food was excellent and the staff very accommodating.

In early February 2020, my brother and I were in dire straits: my elderly dad was in need of a respite home. We serendipitously came across the Revera Churchill, which is only 400 meters from where my mother is in another nursing home. The Churchill felt right from the moment we stepped into it.. the staff are warm and compassionate and my dad's brief three weeks brought him back to normalcy. Our deepest gratitude to Cynthia and Amelia and all the other staff who showered my dad with love and care. And they were faithful to every promise they made, without exception.

My grandfather stayed here while he waited for a room to open up at the long term care centre where my grandmother lives. He really enjoyed his stay and on my frequent visits I was very impressed by the quality of care and service. He loved the food and how pleasant and accommodating the staff always were. The atmosphere at Churchill Place was really lovely, it has kind of a small neighbourhood feel. Kudos to the whole Churchill Place team on a great job!
