Brown's The Florist Downtown

Yesterday I called Browns to place an order for delivery, for a close friend who had a parent pass away. They took my card details and were fully aware it was a pre paid KOHO Mastercard. They put the transaction through 2-3 times, draining my account balance. When i called to inquire, they told me it looks like it didn’t process on their end (even though it definitely did, and my money is 100% gone). They apologized but it wasn’t sincere, telling me they can take an e transfer. Why would I transfer them 100 more dollars for this horrible experience? I may have considered it if they attempted to reconcile their huge mistake in some meaningful way. But this business is an institution in Victoria, so unfortunately if anything goes wrong with payment, they have zero incentive to rectify it. Makes me sad. Not angry, just sad. I ended up calling Flowers and More, in Fairfield plaza. They were professional, do way better bouquet’s, and had the sympathy flowers at my friends door within the hour, no issues. Thank you, Flowers and More!Ps: to make matters worse (with Browns), they actually had their “marketing manager” follow up with a phone call this afternoon. She stated she “saw my review” and was calling to “make sure I had all the information”. She literally just told me irrelevant info about the flower shop I ended up choosing instead of them, and it felt like an extremely passive aggressive call that I did NOT need. Browns and their team literally ruined my day today…and all I was trying to do was get some flowers to a friend to say “I Love You” after her father passed away. I’m literally disgusted with this business. And shocked.

Wonderful experience. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful with my questions. I managed to pre-order for Mother's Day, and the results were fantastic. I will be using this florist again.

I’ve ordered from Browns twice now to deliver flowers to a family member since we don’t live in the same city. Both times I’ve been extremely impressed. Products are easy to order and they go above and beyond to deliver a great product with care. Would definitely recommend!!

I order flowers that I did not see., because of ordering out of province for a friend! We are very pleased with the arrangement of flowers and creativity but into them, they are absolutely beautiful, and delivery was prompt as requested! Definitely would use their service again! Always friendly and helpful staff! I came in specifically needing a bouquet that was non toxic to cats and they were very happy to accommodate for me! It was a beautiful bouquet too :) very fair prices!!

I had a corsage done for my sister's prom, and the staff were so kind and made a beautiful piece! They asked questions about style, vibe, and even her personality. Well worth the money in my opinion, and I'd definitely come back again.

I like Brown's for their quality and variety of flowers to assemble and create your own bouquet. I went in earlier today during my break from work and bought one of their ready made ones and added a few other flowers for a birthday bouquet. The sales associate was very helpful, however, the lady who was asked to re-arrange and assemble the bouquet was giving off an attitude and mentioned her workload as of being busy, but she did take upon the job regardless. The result was not up to the standard as I expected, with the arrangement notable of gaps in between the centre flowers and the greens, and the arrangement of certain flowers are not made as an attentive point as they should've been, but just added on to the side. In other words, it was done without much thought and care as I'd hope for. I would've asked for a rearrangement if I wasn't running out of time to be back at work, but disappointed for sure about the lack of care the lady had for my bouquet. I'd still go back, hopefully for a better experience next time.
