Sheena is exactly what I was looking for in a lactation consultant - knowledgeable and compassionate. She helped piece together the complicated puzzle that was my current feeding situation and offered up lots of tips and solutions to get us back on track and progress toward my goals. I really love that she offers up continued support and communication after the visit so you don't feel like you're left out in the dark afterward. Sheena helped me so much - I would recommend her to anyone who feels they're struggling or could use some extra guidance with feeding.

Sheena was able to fit me in very quickly when I needed help. She was patient and gentle. She immediately saw and corrected our issues with latching and it has been a game changer. She also provided tons of valuable information and has been checking in with me to make sure the changes are still making a difference.I strongly recommend her services.

I highly recommend Sheena at Milkbud Lactation. She was very responsive to communication, and was able to fit us in for our initial home visit right away. During the home visit she made me feel comfortable and helped me gain confidence regarding my baby's latch and feeding positions. Following the home visit, she sent a thorough document with a review of everything we talked about as well as a wealth of additional information and suggestions. In the weeks following our home visit, she responded to my email questions with empathetic, informative, and helpful responses. I cannot imagine navigating breastfeeding for the first time without her help.

I am so grateful to Sheena, she helped in a time were I felt quite desperate and discouraged. At the birth of my daughter I had some medical complications that led to me having to introduce formula. Due to some medical advice I was told that I essentially missed my window for getting my supply up. I was always breastfeeding, but my daughters main source of nutrition was coming from formula. I continued breastfeeding for the connection, and because, at least, she was getting some antibodies from me. Then the formula shortage came, and I was told that the special formula I had her on was meant to be out of stock for the next couple of months. This is were I felt completely desperate, I know some parents can relate to the fear of not being able to feed your child. I was conflicted because I wasn't making enough for her, and as a first time mom, was so nervous of introducing anything else to her when she was having tummy issues. A girlfriend recommended Sheena and within a couple a days she was in my home consulting with me and my daughter. She was able to help me identify what the crux of my breastfeeding issue was and how to resolve it. When she left she then provided me all what was discussed in the meeting in word format so I could always reference in addition to making herself available via email always (something that I absolutely took advantage of). I am happy to say at two months and a few weeks old I have now been able to go several days without any formula! Breastfeeding does not come easy to all and this was no easy task getting to this point, but it was made easier, in part, due to Sheena's support. If you're thinking about getting a lactation consultant, do it! I am so grateful that I did, before hiring Sheena I was humming and hawing telling myself how hopeless things are, but I assure you it is not! Do yourself the favor. She is sweet and supportive.

Sheena is knowledgeable, kind and supportive. I learned so many helpful strategies from her, she answered all of my questions and she helped to calm some of my worries. I would highly recommend using her as a lactation consultant.

Highly recommend Sheena as a lactation consultant. She was so great at answering aaall the questions my husband and I had as first time parents and was very quick to respond through email after our visit when I was dealing with mastitis. She gave me tips and reassurance on how to deal with my situation and made me feel more at ease when thing were feeling like the were spiralling out of my control. I worked with Milk Bud Lactation to help me figure out breast feeding once I brought my baby home from the hospital. It was amazing to have this support in my home being a first time mom and just having had a c-section. Sheena has been a joy to work with since day one! She has provided me with resources to help guide me on my breast feeding journey. Her support is honest and non-judgemental. Sheena has been available for support beyond my initial consultation via email and she always responds promptly.

After having my baby in November, I seem to have been struggling with spit up, reflux, and milk, coming out of his nose while I breast-fed and bottle-fed. I called Sheena, lactation specialist from milkbud, And let her know of my concerns. Being a first time mom I felt like it was an emergency. I didn’t want some thing to happen to my baby. She made me feel heard and treated it like the emergency I felt it was by coming in withinin the next day or two (because it was a weekend). She was quick to make an assessment from where I spent most of my time with my baby, weighed him, gave me some tips and pointers and just spent time with me. Not once did she makes me feel like she was in a hurry, she never rushed me and she let me see anything and everything I needed to talk about even if it was completely off topic, and just weighing on me. She made herself available at any point of having more concerns and gave me a lot of reading material before and after our appointment. She also provided a summary of our appointment in two different places, so that I am able to reflect and go back to our conversations and key points. I highly recommend using her as your lactation specialist. She is also an L&D nurse which made it a lot more legitimate and feel more real. I will be using her again when I start weaning off of breast, milk, and breast-feeding, I will also be handing off her phone number to the friends I have coming up having babies.Thank you Sheena so much for your help and reassurance and caring for my little one

My husband and I took the breastfeeding and prenatal online courses and highly recommend. Sheena explained concepts in a way that was easy to understand and the PDF provided for future reference was very helpful. I had an induction and a labour where things moved quickly, but we felt prepared and less anxious as we knew what was going on from taking her course. I also have had success so far in my breastfeeding journey and attribute this to her course!

Sheena was very helpful, supportive, affirming and kind. I was feeling a little hopeless in our breastfeeding journey and Sheena really encouraged me. She has a wealth of knowledge that she shares freely.
