Budget Car Rental

I have been renting cars from this company a couple of times and I have never had an issue with them. The staff is super nice and very welcoming. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing experience! I reserved a Budget rental through Priceline. The pickup and return process was very quick, easy, and friendly. I thought it’d be more complicated due to being a young driver (under 25) but the fees were fair and I was charged the amount promised with no complications :) I would definitely recommend renting here—especially young drivers!

I always thought that U-Haul was the only option and luckily, I was wrong! These guys have a great range of vehicles, cars and trucks to choose from. I was able to make a same day reservation for a moving truck during a busy time and when U-Haul had nothing available. Thank you guys for providing me with what I needed when I needed it! I will definitely use Budget in the future. Their prices are very reasonable as well.

Smooth experience renting a car. They do not scam you!

Good service picked up Budget car rental from the airport and I was able to drop it off at this location without any trouble. Decent price for 4 days booking direct from Budget website. Good location but a bit tricky to get to the place by vehicle but easily accessible by bicycle if you are renting a bigger vehicle.

Frustrating experience. Budget hasn't quite modernized.I made an online reservation for three months - confirmation emailed to me with the grand total and pick up/drop off dates and times. Upon picking up the car, I was told that I would need to be there in person every month to renew my rental. Working out of town, showing up in person is not an option. After calling the general customer support line, they eventually put me through to the actual office I rented the car from. Begrudgingly they said that they would renew my contract for another month (again, I booked a three month rental). Initially I declined the insurance but later decided that I wanted to add it - denied. Another thing I needed to be at a physical office for. Aside from the world offering a ton of services remotely, especially during/post-covid, it is frustrating that Budget does not. It is incredibly frustrating that have to return to the office with the vehicle in order to fulfill the duration of my reservation and very frustrating that I cannot add services, like insurance, without attending an office (there are none in Northern BC). Why allow for a three month online reservation if that isn't something that can be fulfilled in one go? And then having to show up in person is mind boggling...a lot of people rent cars to go on road trips, work trips, vacations or otherwise. I would have explored other options if I knew I would encounter this stuff. Returning to a Budget office is not an option during my reserved time.Update: After a several days of back and forth (or maybe after speaking with the manager), I was able to get an extension after providing a video of the condition of the vehicle. Again the customer service reps I dealt with were all very polite but the experience was stressful. My contract had expired and I was days away from a Budget location. I was concerned about not being able to leave work for the time it would take me to drive to a location and back, as well as the expense of the trip and having the car after the contract expired. Luckily Budget was understanding, the video sufficed (car was in the same condition I picked it up) and I was able to extend remotely. All's well that ends well but Budget needs to update this policy.Update #2: I raised my starts from 2 to 4. After the initial frustrations listed above, everything else went smoothly. I primarily dealt with a gentleman named Amol, who was great. After sending video proof of the vehicle each time I needed to extend, there was no issues whatsoever. Amol responded quickly each time, sent me the monthly invoice and was very friendly. The drop off was quick and easy and all staff in the office were very friendly. I had forgotten my purse in the car, they notified me that it was there (a surprise to me). I didn’t immediately pick it up, but they had it behind their desk with the handles tied and waiting for me.So one star down for the initial frustrations; staff were all lovely but the policy was not. Overall a good experience in the end.

We rented a truck to get all the components of GeoWoodstock from Victoria to Abbotsford. Everything went smoothly with the rental and our in and out procedure was seamless. Thank you!

Awesome place with awesome staff.Highly recommend this for all rentals.I rented a 3500 pickup to move a trailer and it made my trip safer for sure.

Got into Victoria a little earlier than expected. Went into the Budget office in Victoria to check in and let the front desk guy know that I am in early for my pick up. If you can define customer service, well that is how it is done. Amol was the front person's name and he did a fantastic job getting me into a rental a little bit earlier and with an upgrade for a minimal charge. Not only was I pleased for his service, but he did his job thoroughly by doing a pre trip around the vehicle and describing each feature it had. Moving forward I'll be renting from Budget. Move over Enterprise.
