Highly recommend. With Karen's knowledge and training we have noticed a tremendous difference in our reactive dogs behaviour. We can now walk past other dogs without him lunging. Well worth the private lessons.

We experienced a major case of puppy blues with our large breed 6 month old puppy. He was a handful, difficult to control, and pulled against the leash on walks. We were almost at the point of giving up.Fortunately, Karen came to our rescue and provided excellent advice and training. Now, at 9 months, he walks nicely on a leash and is developing good manners and habits. We can see signs of the well behaved grown up dog he’s going to become. There’s still lots of work to be done but with Karen’s help and support, we know we’ll get there. Now we can’t imagine life without him!

We are thrilled with Liam's behaviour since coming home from boarding school with Karen Laws at Ontario Dog Trainer. He is walking on a loose leash and and behaving himself in the house, not jumping up and grabbing things as he used to and settling down in place" while we eat our meals. I’ve been working with Karen for a few months now with a lot of reconditioning work to do for both me and my pup! We’ve been through a lot together and it was time for some help.Karen has been fantastic, she has made me so comfortable, I have been able to be open and honest about our situation and our history and I never feel judged. Our family – three kids and Porthos, a beagle puppy – have successfully completed Puppy Preschool (Moving Forward) with Karen Law at The Ontario Dog Trainer in Fall 2022.We contacted Karen before Porthos joined our family. We were looking for a trainer to help mentor us as we grew together as a pack and we were impressed with Karen’s approach. Our sessions were insightful and informative. This is huge for a puppy, especially a scent-driven beagle who loves having his nose to the ground. My husband and I did the 6 day program on How to talk to your dog". It was an intense 6 days

Karen and Tracy took such good care of our puppy Teddy. Teddy did Karen's 4 week puppy training course and he now knows every skill imaginable. He is a very well behaved pooch that sleeps through the night in his crate. If you are concerned about leaving your puppy for 4 weeks, don't be! Every puppy in the world deserves to learn and be trained by Karen and her team. Can't thank them enough :)

Karen is a fantastic trainer. We hired her to solve some issues walking on-leash as well as a conflict with our two house dogs playing too hard for their size difference. Karen came to our house and observed, it was clear from the start how much she respected both dogs (Husky mix and Kelpie mix). She doesn't rely on food motivation which is fantastic for huskies that tend to not care as much about food. She provided us with realistic advice and a training plan to implement, which we are already seeing the benefit of. She made herself available for further questions via email after the session and provided detailed description/video of what we worked on during the session and what the next steps are. Karen does not sugar-coat anything, and is focused on respecting the dog and being the leader of the pack. We are so happy with our investment in our dogs, and really glad to have found Karen. If you are having issues with your dog, she is your best shot at a solution. Thank you Karen!

Karen is a valuable resource for dog behaviour. She understands the dog mind and is able to provide coping strategies to change behaviour that is fair and effective.We have observed significant improvements with our dog. We recommend Karen highly.

Walter was a rebellious and dissatisfied hell-raiser. Karen taught him how to get a long with other dogs, be by himself, rest when he needs it and most importantly how to interact with us! We could not be more pleased with our now well-mannered but still hugely entertaining Airedale. :) Karen also provides an extremely detailed reference manual and does regular follow-up after the training period is over.
