Orr Lake Golf Club

This is a great course for the price you pay! Lots of variety out on this course with some gorgeous views of the lake as a backdrop as you progress through the course. Post-game food could be a little stronger but this is a solid course overall.

No Marshall or starter so each time I have played it gets backed up as they also keep tee times too close. Also a bit of a helmet course so be aware of wayward shots!Food is solid thoughEDIT! so I am going to throw in my first edit here ever. I am not some disgruntled person. 4:15 is longer than this course should play. They had two twosomes back to back on the “full day”. As for the 5/18 helmet holes. That is a reference that 5 tee boxes are dangerous. They don’t acknowledge how many holes are blind tee shots you are hoping the group has moved enough.The course is cheap for 2023 standard’s though. But no cart person as well. they do offer cooler bags which is solid: 3/4 of the tee boxes are also extremely uneven.TBH for the price what you get its fine. I probably won’t play again after having a few rounds here and too many close shots. Easy to just casually shrug it off as the owner who doesn’t want to put two posts and a string of net up to protect the tee boxes. He doesn’t need to pay my mortgage when I am out of work for months with a concussion I guess. But I guess just blame someone who doesn’t want to get hurt!

Played for the first time, will definitely go back, love the layout, good value and conditions are very good, greens are well maintained, like a lot of courses some traps are hard but stay out if you don't like them. Really liked the par 3s, overall a good experience and as they say a hidden gem, for golfers like me.

Great atmosphere. Well kept course. Nice staff. We had a burger but after they cooked it you could call it charcoal. I should have taken a pick to upload. Both burgeres were extremely burnt. Didn't eat them we just left. Suggest to bring a sanwich

For the price this is the best deal going. Pretty good condition for a public course, greens are true, fairways forgiving and the tee boxes are not beat up. Yes, it is quite a distance from the City but if you live north of Aurora/Newmarket it is definitely worth the hike up to cottage country.

The customer service was just amazing, the course was WELL kept and to be honest blew my mind, been golfing at brook Lea and have IMMEDIATELY changed, I love this course and the obstacles, EVERY staff member was just amazing and this would be mygo to course if I wasn't moving, give them a chance and I promise you won't be disappointed I both price and the course!!!

Located just north of barrie, this course offers both value and views. The back 9 has views of both orr lake and blue mountain. The greens and fairways are well maintained and offer challenges to both new players or seasoned golfers with their 4 tee boxes. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
