Extraordinarily disappointed with how they treated small children in association with the Vaughan recreation center classes.4 lessons in …Without any prior notice in the description or at the header of the course, They arbitrarily decided to inform everyone that they must purchase a marked up $90 uniform in order to receive a “belt test”My child is six years old and the uniform …that was not notified as a requirement in advance …costs more than the actual City of Vaughan recreation courseDespite *already owning a standard uniform* on day 1, we asked the instructor If our child would be excluded at the final class and she assured us “no”Yet in the final class my child was left crying on the floor… left out the final “ceremony” of receiving the oh-so-special token “yellow belt” because we did not buy an identical uniform sold directly by this money grubbing organization.Is this your business model?To this very day as of Christmas week 2021 if you look on the City of Vaughan website The course description says “uniform is recommended”It does NOT at all indicate that it has to be “their” uniform or that their uniform is required in order to graduate from “level one”You should be ashamed of yourselves and I hope this review prevents at least one person from having anything to do with an organization that embarrasses small children like this.I think this is how cobra Kai started.Here’s a novel and reasonable idea… In the course description and on day 1… say “ In order to complete this course and receive your belt you must purchase our uniform”Thank you for educating me on why we don’t have our kids enrolled in your facility.Because you are more interested in deceptive cheesy business practices than running an honest and straightforward martial arts school.

I've trained in TKD since I was 6 years old and have tried other martial arts and gyms over the last 30 years. This martial arts studio fosters the discipline, perseverance, respect for others, mental and physical fitness training that you expect. Both children and adult will be challenged and encouraged to be the best they want to be.I did alright with my own training growing up but I can only imagine how improved my martial arts career could have evolved if I had been with this school since I was 6 years old.I don't like speaking in hyperbole like saying this is the best school ever, but I can't imagine a better group of instructors teaching the next generation of martial artists. I'd trust my children would be learning the same life skills I am espousing at home.Full disclosure, I am a 4th Dan Black Belt under Dr GM Cariati's TKD Federation, the ICTF. I taught out in NB before joining his organization as an adult.

Fantastic place to learn Taekwondo. The teachers and management are extremely dedicated to Taekwondo. They teach the proper skills and guide you properly.

I have trained under the ICTF for 19 years, 14 of those years were spent under the direct training of Grandmaster Cariati at Woodbridge Tae Kwon Do. Through this training I have obtained skills and values that are beyond invaluable. If you are in search of authentic martial art training the team at Woodbridge TKD is the place.

GM Cariati and all of his Instructors are dedicated, capable and caring individuals who have fostered a Family-like environment among all the Members of the Club. Our son recently achieved his Black Belt after several years of hard work and perseverance. We could not be more pleased with the quality of Instruction and the encouraging, inspiring Staff who make all the difference. Thank you, GM Cariati, for maintaining a top-notch Martial Arts School. My daughter has been training here for the last 5 years & she loves it! She looks very forward to every Monday & Wednesday training session. She works hard & is motivated to get her black belt, most likely next year. Answers to questions & emails are always responded to quickly. The instructors are wonderful, caring, knowledgeable & enthusiastic. I couldn’t ask for a better taekwondo-do group. GM Cariati runs a wonderful, family-like business.

Woodbridge Taekwon-Do is so much more than a martial arts organization. It’s a family, with very kind and knowledgeable instructors, with a program that follows traditional ways and directions of the founder. Grand Master Cariati has an outstanding international reputation, hosting competitions (that stopped unfortunately for a while due to Covid) and with many clubs from other countries associating with the school. Discipline and hard work are skills that we want for our kids, and this is one of the sports that will inspire them. My family and I are committed to the sport, and we are very fortunate to have found the perfect club to train us.

I have trained at Woodbridge Taekwondo for over 2 years now and have found the classes to be very inclusive and adaptive to the various skill levels present on any given day. I greatly appreciate that I can get instruction to meet my specific training needs.

Woodbridge Taekwondo is a wonderful club. I have the privilege of having been a student for many years and now my kids go there. The Cariati family goes above and beyond to teach technique and the art of taekwondo. There are two negative reviews on here that don't fit what the club teaches and does not reflect on 99.9% of the kids. Thank you Dr. Cariati and Master Cariati for continuing to bring the Art of Taekwondo to Woodbridge and beyond.

I was previously a student of GM Cariati as were my children. I gained a great deal of knowledge during my training and can attest to the great work he did with my kids. Today, two of them are lawyers and one is on her way to becoming a doctor. As parents, we must give our children every opportunity to become independent, strong and resilient. I truly believe that much of their success is attributable to the long hours in the do-hang under the careful guidance of GM Cariati and his staff. I strongly recommend and encourage parents to visit the do-hang and see what takes place there. I know your children will benefit from the taekwon-do experience.
