Pretty great arena. Ice can be a bit soft, but that's not a deal breaker. Food is ok but a great price. Needs some updates, but overall it's a fun place to be at.

The place is pretty nice, has many options but the basketball court is a big turn off, it seems that they don’t really condition there courts, every time I walk in, and also mind that I am one of the first people to walk in, the dust on the court is so much it’s to the point where you can’t really preform at full capacity and are sliding every time, maybe just buy a dust sweeper for 40 bucks.

This is certainly one of the best arenas in the city. I was the DJ for the U16 AAA Northstars, and the sound system was absolutely stellar. The building is older, but well-maintained. Staff are friendly, and the facility is clean. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars is due to a lack of washrooms. In the whole facility, there's only 4 urinals and 2 stalls for men. This is nowhere near enough to support two arenas, a gym, and a bar. Other than that, it's tremendous.

Don Hartman, NESS Because of its fantastic indoor hockey rinks and excellent seating, the North East Sportsplex has long been one of my favourite places in Calgary to visit. If you're in the mood for a snack and a beer while watching a game, head upstairs to the sports lounge for a cold beer on tap and hot deep-fried pickles. Moreover, there are basketball courts and a fitness centre.

Comments about Arena only: Dressing rooms are very spacious with showers (2) and bathroom shared with adjacent dressing room. Wifi was good, I was able to live stream hockey game to grandma and grandpa. Parking lot was spacious. Seats are on second level and are unheated. The cafeteria was closed when we were there so I can't comment. Enjoyed the Spectator Code of Conduct" - "#5 You and your child do not play for the Flames." Haha!"
