Hikers Haven, Division of Europe Bound

Hikers Haven is a family-owned store right off the highway with huge selections of products, compared to Sports Check, EMS, or other stores! I'm happy to find ice cleats for my in-laws for them to walk their dog during icy winters in Canada. What made the store exceptional is the very friendly and informative staff member letting us know the pros/cons of some Brands/types of cleat spikes for different conditions - very straight to the point and exactly what we needed. I'm honestly not too used to having any interactions with staff members within a store since I'm not from Canada, so I'm very surprised by how helpful everyone was. :)Support local Canadian businesses!

Purchased my Canada Goose jacket at this location. Very friendly and helpful staff. No one was pushy! One thing I would recommend though is provide the Canada Goose zip covering for the coats with a hanger, that way it’s protected. Mine was just folded and put into a plastic bag lol other than that, great store

Had a bit of an issue with the payment system, a long wait, and left empty-handed this morning, but they quickly resolved the problem and gave me a call to sort out my backpack purchase. The new bag is absolutely perfect! Currently filling all the new pockets and hidden zippers for our trip up north.

We went in to buy some gear for our trek in Peru and the staff was just incredible! They were super helpful, knowledgeable and so friendly. For anyone who loves the outdoors, youll feel like a kid in a candy shop here! The staff is eager to help set you up with everything you need, I could not have asked for a better experience!

There's a reason this place is going out of business. 1. Even at 50% off things are overpriced. 2. Way too much Junk and clutter. 3. And this is why I am posting a review, the owners/staff. I stopped by on my lunch break, wearing my full uniform from my work. I wanted to get some shoes/hiking boots. The staff kept following me around while I was browsing. The guy in the batman shirt pretending to be on his phone was like having a shadowI nodded to him hoping he would assist me, as the gentleman in shoes was busy with other customers. Nope. The guy at the checkout had his back to the door the entire time. I hope these people behave better with their next venture. If someone was going to shoplift, I doubt they would do it uniform and wearing a name tag.

Wonderful customer service and great selection. Pick up gear here almost every time I roll through town. (And love to browse even when I don't necessarily need anything, ha.) Highly recommend!

Staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. They go out of their way to ensure you get the best products for what you are looking for. Prices are great and good sales. Was previously a MEC customer but will always return to Hikers Haven from now on.

The store itself was really great, and all the staff but one was exceptionally wonderful and sweet.There was a tall older gentleman working the cash, super friendly and shared how dedicated the owner was to the store.We love learning about fellow small business owners when we travel.Asked if we could buy online he said no, I asked if he had a business card he said no.Just before turning around I noticed business cards and said hey is this a business card with the website on it? He said oh I didn't know, but had worked there for yours.I suspect this attention to detail is why the owner feels the need to be in the store most of the time.

Absolutely awesome place to go for equipment. Staff was very friendly and provided advice when asked and then gave me room to browse the extensive selection on my own. Looking forward to test my new water filter and other gear. Loved the clearance section, too, although I didn't find anything this time. Will be back for sure!

Very knowledgeable staff. I have been in many times previous to this review and have always found what I was looking for regarding outdoor gear.The gentleman that helped me with a new pair of shoes insisted to size up my feet for the best fit and I walked away with another great pair of hikers.
