Would advise going elsewhere. While I have no real complaint about the returns themselves (were done on time and properly, as far as Revenue Canada was concerned), my returns were simple personal returns. My issues stem from the attitude of a few front line contact people over five years (in person and via email), AND, most concerning, from the so-called CEO, Andrea. Attitude lacking in social graces (she actually called me a liar without actually calling me a liar), does not make for the kind of confidence one expects from any business one trusts with their personal information. This particular situation arose when I found a local tax accountant (I had moved from Edmonton in 2019) primarily due to their move to app" based processes. I don't 'do' apps. They have lost a few clients

While taxes were filed in a timely manner, their poor customer service is why I am dropping them as my accounting firm. They don’t communicate with their clients and don’t personalize their services in any way to offer you the largest return/benefit. They lie about not knowing my job title, even tho I wrote it on myTax forms and thus I was eligible for claims. On top of that, they blamed me for their own mistakes saying it’s my responsibility to bring forward what claims I am eligible for… so basically do their job. To top it all off, they want me to pay $100+ to adjust the return they didn’t process correctly. Pay for their incompetence.

Sapphire did my accounting and book-keeping for 2021 and 2022. Fast, efficient, and easy to work with. I saved more filing with them did I did my previous accountant. Very happy and I will be back next year! Thank you!

Went to Sapphire to do my refiling last year as I was eligible for some additional refund. Due to some back and forth with the CRA things stalled out and it seemed like my personal tax specialist at Sapphire didn’t really seem too concerned or invested in helping me. I ended up calling the CRA directly and they had closed my file so I had to reopen it and I ended up sending them the documents they needed directly and received my refund in less than a week. This is what I paid Sapphire to do and they couldn’t even be bothered to call the CRA and see what was going on.Was really not happy with the level of service or diligence from Sapphire after paying them $250+ in fees. Will be going to a CPA this year to have things done a bit more diligently.

They made a clerical error in regards to my address on my tax forms & not only did I verbally communicate to them about correcting the error I reminded them through correspondence upon paying my invoice to make sure the information was correct prior to filing my taxes & they did not correct their mistake. Which has caused a delay & has been a huge inconvenience to correct with the CRA.I do not recommend them in any capacity as it is clear they cannot follow direction.

My wife and I have been using Saphire Accounting for over four years. We wanted them to be our family accounting firm. We hired them to help us plan for the future to maximize our returns from year to year. Despite being loyal customers year after year, they have failed to help us plan, interface with CRA, and have flat out not been able to resolve a simple matter over the period of 2-3 years now. I just got blind sided by an another $1300 payment that I was told was taken care of twice now. Despite them dropping the ball again they want me to pay them $90 an hour to clean up their bad accounting. The receptionist was rude insisting I pay for shipping documents I already had. When I try to plan with them for the future to maximize my return for next year there is crickets on the other end. If you're looking for an accounting firm that values your business, doesn't make major mistakes, to help you plan for the future, to resolve CRA issues, or just feel like they're on your side this is not the place to go.Go somewhere else save your self 4 years. I wish I would have.Just to be honest and fair Diane was okay, but she retired. So run...

My experience with Zain and Dianne has been amazing. I have been dealing with Sapphire Accounting for sometime for my corporate and personal taxes and I would definitely come back every year. Great service, highly professional and excellent prices.I would highly recommend this firm for anyone to get their taxes done in a timely manner.

A vast improvement from last year. Must be new owners or management. Dropped off tax receipts, income slips etc. at noon and was completed the same day. We'll beyond expectations. Very accommodating and helpful. They add a touch of humor to their emails. Love it.

From the start to the end of our 2022 Tax filing - Sapphire made the process so simple. From uploading documents (no pesky drop off needed), the online electronic signature gathering, to a seem less and secure payment process - this was so simple and soooo easy.
