Car started to make a real off putting sound when I was idling which had me worried on what it could be. Brought my car in and they put it up on the lift and identified the problem quickly and noted I had a small crack in one of the pipes. Brought me into the garage to show me what the problem was (my heat shield was about to fall off) they took it off for me free of charge and gave me an honest quote what it would be to replace the cracked pipe. Thanks again for the help guys!

They are honest and do good work. Ive been there twice and the service has always been spot on and the pricing is very reasonable.

Needed my muffler changed and as it is apparently hard to find a muffler for a tundra I bought my own. Called to see if they could change it for me and this guy was rude and on his high horse and started telling me that you don’t take steak to a restaurant and ask them to cook it for you and mentioned how only a small shop would do it.Called midas and they said they’ll help me out.

Came for a coolant change, was honest and told me they don't have the coolant type available for my car instead of putting the wrong coolant in, super appreciated!

Have always been honest and trustworthy. Ready to help quickly and share what exactly needs to be done, not trying to gouge on any service. I think the exchange for quick and convenient service is higher prices and, to note, this is part of franchise mechanic chain, with contract employees and pricing. I had taken my vehicle for an out of province safety inspection, which was carried out professionally and quickly. The repairs needing to be done were not embellished or extras added. The estimate was given. We had to take the vehicle away to get the front windshield replaced, that simply couldn't be done by Speedy. We found a better deal on some of the repairs and had that establishment take care of them. We returned the vehicle and had the inspection finalized. A few weeks later there was a coolant leak and we returned with the vehicle to Speedy (not because we thought the issue was related to the safety inspection, just because we knew them to be, well, speedy and thorough). They tested the cooling system and found the leak and gave a quote on the repair needing to be made. Since in the case of the safety repairs the other garage had done it for so much less, I checked back with them and they gave a drastically reduced cost again. Returning to Speedy we asked to not do the repairs and expected to pay them for their labour on testing the vehicle. Instead we were told that the usual procedure is to not charge for examining a vehicle except when there is an intensive process like taking apart a brake or engine. The unspoken expectation is that if you take the vehicle to them, then you accept whatever quote they give you for a repair and move forward. We were told this was the second time we had brought in a vehicle and not accepted services there, even though we had paid for the full inspection price and it is understood that there is an allotted time to finish needed repairs wherever they need to be done. We were made to feel like we had taken advantage of Speedy's kindness in not charging customers for problem solving on vehicles, when that is their decision, with some sort of between the lines expectation that we must have them repair the vehicle. Since then there has been another significant repair needed to the vehicle (hopefully the last for a while), and we did not return to Speedy for sure.
