What a gem spot! We went to the bar and had such a great time being served by Taiga. He was so personable and made the experience. Food was delicious. We had the charcoal brioche housemade with butter and jam, the salmon and the Uni Crème Pasta. Yummm! Will be back again.

This place is incredible! My partner and I visited for our anniversary. Right off the bat the service was just incredible - all staff were conversational and incredibly helpful. We loved the unique cocktails (we each had 2). We were happy with the several vegetarian options (grilled eggplant, curry, quail eggs, and cheese dip), so we had full satisfying meals. Finished the night with two glasses of their fancy Japanese whiskey. What a West End gem.

Omg what an experience!!! Must try and must order the famous bubble cocktail - Japanese Greyhound! Comes as virgin as well!! Everything we ordered tasted great - portions are small but flavours are rich!

Amazing place! Their food is wonderful and I love their ever-changing fresh sheet. Cocktails are fun and prices are not bad for Vancouver standard! Very much worth it. What sets them apart is definitely their atmosphere and service. You can just feel how much they care about what they do, and it shows in every detail.

Absolutely had the best experience tonight. Small, fun, delicious plates. Engaging and inviting staff, with a excellent cocktails.Having the kitchen on plain view adds an authenticity to the food. I can't wait to come back and share this with others.

I'd hate to give 3 star because, having grown up in Japan I absolutely love Japanese food and welcome creativity. However, I just felt overall the value was not there. The space is very small and although I don't mind cramped space, it's something to note if you are not a fan of sitting close to other tables. We ordered kampachi, eggplant and hayashi rice. Kampachi was delicious and the seasoning was just perfect. It is not cheap by any means and you'll get about 4-5 slices for $20. Eggplant was rather disappointing, as I felt the tomato based sauce overpowered everything else and it tasted almost like eggplant mixed with pasta sauce. Hayashi rice is supposedly one of the most popular dishes, but it just didn't do it for me. The sauce felt overly salty and the rice was quite soggy. I understand it could get soggy after being covered with sauce, but it shouldn't to this extent. A layer of egg was somewhat unique, but did not feel it complemented the overall dish. I have had Hayashi rice in other restaurants including ones in Japan, and I felt this one was rather lacklustre.

this is probably one of the best restaurants i’ve eaten at in 2023, and for some strange reason it’s not hard to get a reso. the food is so inventive and interesting; everything was delicious and very well-balanced. the service was impeccable, and the staff seem to genuinely care about their work. noah’s cafe is a welcome addition to a street that seriously lacks restaursnts.

The restaurant was hidden as the front had no big logo on the outside but we found it. The place itself is small but cozy, great for catching up with friends or having a small date. Service was excellent. Food portions were good, just enough. Can’t wait to come back again ~
