Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had!! Had one bit of a chicken ball and it was just pancake batter soaked in oil. The sweet and sour sauce had no taste except a faint aftertaste and smell of sewer. Spent almost $60 and I have never felt sicker. My brother worked in a very good Chinese food restaurant for 5+ years, sadly he couldn’t get one bite down. Stay far far away. Go to Le On or drive to Genes in Stratford.

I've been here twice now because Leon's was closed or busy. I have to say I enjoy the food here so much better. From now on, Hongs is definitely going to be my first choice. Thank you so much for dinner, it was so good I finished every bite of it (that says a lot because I'm a very picky eater). We will be back.

Our pick up order was on time with what they quoted. Price reasonably, it was not the best I have ever had but it was good.

We ordered the two individual dinner plates (C&D). Food was fresh, portions were generous and prices reasonable. I was surprised at the meat portions --- they were generous with the sesame chicken.Will be returning.

Ordered take out Chinese food for me and my father. We arrived and placed our order. 2 orders of beef fried rice ,one order of sweet-and-sour chicken balls ,1 order of chicken vegetable low Mein and 4 egg rolls. From the rice to the sweet-and-sour chicken balls which were absolutely delicious cooked perfectly and their sweet-and-sour sauce is incredible. Also absolutely the best egg rolls I've had in years the vegetable chicken lo mein fantastic. The service was friendly and fast and their food is absolutely 5 star or above. The best Chinese food for taste and quality that I've had in many years I am extremely impressed. Is worth the drive from Kitchener even though it's take out only.

Our first and likely last takeout from Hongs. The Won Ton Soup was cold. Unlike their website picture, the Sweet and Sour Pork was just battered pork pieces in a cardboard box and and a tub of S&S sauce - no veggies, peppers or pineapple. Lemon chicken was good; again just battered pieces in a box and a tub of lemon sauce. Disappointing.

One word, garbage! Don’t waste your money! Moved to Tavistock recently and wanted to find a good Chinese food restaurant nearby. Last weekend we tried Hongs for the first and we will never go back. I’m not sure how to even describe how bad the food was. For starters, the spring rolls were soaking wet with oil and when I bit into one of them, they were pure mush inside, no substance or flavour. The chicken balls were huge, but again they were oil soaked and only had a tiny piece of chicken in them. The sesame chicken was the worst I’ve ever had. Lots of dough and very little chicken, a few sesame seeds on it and get this, no sauce on it. I’ve never had dry sesame chicken before. The chicken fried rice had bean sprouts in it that had a very questionable smell, wasn’t sure if we’d get sick after eating it. Overall the meal was expensive compared to others and the food was the bland and tasteless. So disappointed, I will never go back. Today we tried the only other Chinese food restaurant in New Hamburg, Le On Chinese and Thai food restaurant. Wow, what a difference! If you enjoy Chinese food with flavour, than give them a try, you won’t be disappointed, we weren’t!

Haven't been to this Chinese food place for over 15 yrs.I will give a breakdown of what I ordered and tell you what it was like.BBQ Pork Fried Rice- nice size piece of meat however the rice is greasy.Peppered Beef Steak-Very GoodChicken wings- Very GoodAmbassador Ribs- are not what you think, pieces of thin pork in an orange sauce- tough to chew.Sweet & Sour Pork- way too much batter and extremely greasy.Schwann Beef- Too much broccoli and the sauce was not hot/ spicy as you it should be for this dish.Chicken Balls- GoodSesame Chicken- GoodDisappointed would love a place to go and get good Chinese food without having to go into Kitchener. This establishment is not for me the food for me is just not what I want to eat at $97.00.

We always get our Chinese Food from here. We live in New Hamburg and have had family enjoy dinner with us. They now have chosen Hongs as their go to. One family coming in from Kitchener and the other will come from Stratford for Hongs

Good Chinese food. Egg rolls were amazing. Nice plump bean sprouts.
