Great place to visit with the family. You are sure to find something rare, unique and/or creative. The owner was extremely welcoming and was going out of his way to engage in conversations with all visitors, going over the details of the artwork, history of the business and making small talk. At no time was there any pressure to buy anything. Great customer service.

Every time I come here, I feel like a child in a mystical place where all these heroes, made of metal, wood, clay and whatever you want, come to life. And I always go out with a purchase for my garden, home, for friends. Even if you are not looking for primitive" decor

Very creative metal artwork! Love the huge Transformers and dinosaurs outside guarding the front and dotted around the back. Ample free parking. The shop has woodwork items, from small (bowls) to big (furniture) as well as great gift ideas. Definitely worth a stop!

Visually striking and fun to view. This store has it all. From robots to dinosaurs to cactus: the metal constructs are fascinating. Inside there are clothing, jewellery, stones, carvings and more metal constructs for sale.

I go here every year on my birthday, it's always exciting to explore and see the new sculptures and wares. I never leave empty handed, there's truly something unique there for everyone.

Be prepared to spend hours here. This place is a treasure hunt on steroids. There is not rhyme or reason for anything here, but everything is for sale. Donations are highly recommended, but why not just make a purchase or two or more... And have a unique souvenir to take with you to remember this crazy place.

I'm shocked I hadn't ever heard of Primitive Designs before... I'd honestly label this shop as a destination point within Ontario.The shop is laid out over a fairly large property, the larger art pieces on display outside and some are interactive like the Game of Thrones iron throne, Transformers... Like 20ft tall Optimus Prime! There's a pretty decent amount of parking, you drive through the middle of the property to get to it.While a lot of the metalwork pieces are made by their artists, they offer a huge selection of everything from cabinet handles, paintings, clothing, fixtures, models and varying art pieces from international sources.Primitive Designs is way larger than we expected and we probably spent nearly an hour exploring the outside lot, multi-level inside buildings and conversing with other tourists.Some of the prices were shockingly better than expected-- we'll be back to make a few purchases on the smaller metalworks!Overall, Primitive Designs is such a unique place and I can't recommend enough spending the time to check it out yourself.
