Beginner's perspective. Can't figure out where to start your Snowboarding or Skiing Journey? Mount St. Louis Moonstone is definitely a great start!I've setup my account on their website and bought a beginner's package which includes a 1-hour lesson as well as rentals (snowboard, boots, helmet) it all costed about $150, and I rented a locker for $10.-They recommend you arrive 35 minutes before the lesson which runs on the hour (9am, 10am, 11am, etc) but I highly recommend arriving an hour early for example 9am for a 10am lesson)When you approach, head over to the upper side of moonstone not the base of the hill. You'll see signs where to park, and staff will guide you to a parking spot.Head over through the main entrance & speak to guest services. Here you'll be printed out an RFID which is used to get on the ski lifts, and I recommend getting a locker key there right away for $10.-You're then directed to the next room where you pick up your boots & helmet. Put the boots on, store your stuff in the locker, and then go back to get your snowboard. After they set the snowboard up for you it's time to head out and meet the instructors in the designated area!Andy helped me get on my feet and he was a joy to work with. Everyone in the resort was super kind and helpful. After the lesson, you're then sent of to explore the hills~As a complete beginner (but with decent background in other boarding sports) I found that I got to snowboard within the same day that I took the lesson, but got more comfortable the 2nd day.Mount St. Louis Moonstone definitely created another snowboarder, and I can't wait to go again next season!

Amazing place to ski. It has better hills than Blue M. and convenient layout. Lifts are fast, and virtually, there are no lines on weekdays. In terms of skiing, it is the most practical resort in Ontario - you can have more runs in a day than anywhere else in Ontario

It is my first time to visit this place with three friends. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Had lots of fun there. Realized the new gates have bars without having someone checking the tickets. A little bit pricy for lift but I think that worthwhile. Nice, clean and spacy cafeteria on ground floor, and even nicer on second floor dinning area. Food at second floor dinning area has typical manu, nothing fancy but good for someone just finished skiing. Not many options regarding the souvenirs for friends outside Canada, but I was lucky enough to find found ones for them. Overall, we had very good time there.

I recently visited Mount St. Louis Moonstone ski resort and was blown away by the wide range of ski runs they had to offer. From beginner slopes to more advanced runs, there was something for every skill level. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. One of the things that really stood out to me was the number of lifts and paths they had available. It made getting around the resort so much easier and more efficient. The chalet was warm and cozy, the perfect place to take a break from the cold and relax. The restaurant had a lot of delicious food options, and it was open late, so we were able to ski until 9 PM and still grab a bite to eat.The resort is also off the highway and very convenient to get to from Toronto.Overall, I had an amazing experience at Mount St. Louis Moonstone ski resort and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic ski vacation. The staff, facilities, and overall atmosphere were top-notch, and I can't wait to go back again in the future.

The hill was absolutely amazing, but their website tainted my experience. You save money if you buy your passes online and I have no issue with that. But after trying to purchase my pass I kept getting error messages saying my card has been declined this happened three consecutive days. I tried four different cards and verified my details each time (I repeated this process all three days all ended with the same result). This forced me to go to the ticket office and pay with the same exact card that was declined"

Small mountain good for learning and practicing skiing. Gets very crowded over the weekend. Please book online as the price on the spot is more.Beginner package is very basic.

My Kids 1st day skiing was this past Saturday. I want to thank Jerry And Spencer from the Mt. St. Louis Ski school who gave my kids their first ever ski lesson. Jerry and Spencer spent an hour with my kids teaching them the basics and after they were done I was able to take both my kids who are 11 and 7 years old on a chair lift with me. Jerry and Spencer had my kids skiing within one day. Amazing job keep up the good work.Note to Management. Canadian Cash is legal tender. and needs to be accepted when purchasing lift tickets and in the cafeteria to buy lunch. Is it even legal for you to not accept cash??? Covid is over stop the nonsense.

Great spot for beginners and overall a very good experience.Upon arrival there is no fee for parking. Also you receive in and out privileges to the slopes in case you want to store your belongings in your vehicle or leave the premises for lunch/dinner.The lifts operate using RFID tags, so keep it in your left pocket, and don't lose it!When we arrived on Sunday morning there was a short lineup for rentals, but because they had our profile (weight & height), it moved fairly quickly.Group beginner lessons happen every hour and covered enough material for us to safely enjoy the day.For lunch, I appreciated the ramen station, burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, soups, chilli, drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. We would definitely return later this or next season!

Honestly, for a southern Ontario ski club, the cost included, this is as good as it gets. RF lift tickets, 6 person express chairs, expert terrain parks, and only a few meters of vertical drop less than blue or calabogy. Stay in Barrie and ski this club. The whole family loved it.

Our go-to place for skiing. It has a variety of runs, great staff, a spacious lodge with good food options, and just a great place to go for winter activities.
