We visited Zarak during Dine Out & it was a really good first experience.All the food we ate was delicious. For starters, I recommend the paneer served with sourdough bread.The mains were the most outstanding part of the night. The lamb shank was soft & tasty, and the chicken kebab was not dry at all. The side of Afghan rice that it came with was also so fragrant.Not pictured was the pistachio ice cream we had for dessert. It was a really nice & refreshing dessert, not heavy at all.I would definitely go again!

Nice ambience but food is only alright for what they charge. I was hugely disappointed with their Turkish Coffee in particular when they didn’t offer a refill. For its high price, they could have easily offered (limited) refills to bring customers delight without hurting their bottom line. Not offering refills made their hospitality felt extremely cheap and transactional. Their Afghan Breakfast was good, but not great. Good amount of bread but not enough sauce.I’d say about 50% of the price goes towards the ambience and location, not the actual food.

A very special place, interior and the outfits of staff are nice. Good food and service.Turkish coffee isn’t really my thing, but it just looks so pretty, so highly recommended!! Food is quite tasty and has good presentation. Overall price is reasonable, cheaper than I expected.I would definitely come back.

Amazing food. Every dish is so well made both in terms of taste and the looks. A true full flavor experience. The service is awesome. The team shows joy and true love and passion for the restaurant, the food and their guests. It was great to spend the evening here. We will be back for sure!

Such a variety of cocktail and food options, including so many vegetarian options! Loved how everyone was welcoming and explained each drink and dish as it came out. I really recommend you try the dumplings, they were delicious!

The place is not your typical fine dining experience. The inside is much more casual. The food ranges from vegan to lamb. All are mildly spiced and cooked well. We did the Dinner experience and chose 3 items each. One starter, one main, and one dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly, and drinks were very different from the usual bar drinks. Everything was pretty good I definitely liked the cake. It is on the more expensive side, so if you are not a person that likes more adventurous flavors this is not the place for you. It's not overly spicy just definitely more complex than salt and pepper.

Saturday night at around 730. No reservations available but they were able to accommodate our group of three very politely (patio). Service was friendly and informative. Lots of interesting choices on the simple to decipher menu. Everything was tasty, well presented and obviously cared about. Will definitely return!

This is one of my favourite restos here in the lower mainland. The price is great for the portion that you get. But most importantly the food is really good. The eggplant dish on rice and lamb is incredible, momos are huge, their drinks are very unique AND taste incredible. Servers are friendly and I love the interior of the restaurant. A gem in mount pleasant!
