River Park Batiscan - Murphy Sector

Amazing place to spend the day with the family. Taking hybrid bikes from Murphy sector to the Barrage sector via Portage bike path was honestly too dangerous due to all the sand on the path. It’s more a horse path than a bike path so unless you have mountain or fat bikes change plans to hiking.Mosquitoes were everywhere and some large horse flies too however if you put sufficient repellent there is nothing to worry about. The barrage area is very nice for picnic and photo of round rock hole formations due to the strong current. Don’t contemplate swimming because it’s risky and not advised.For $20 a family of four can have a lot of fun for the entire day. Biked back on the country road via St Narcisse church and it was steep uphill ride from the barrage, but ice cream and lovely country side ride well worth the 8 km back to Murphy entrance.Highly recommended

Le Lievre is my favorite trail and starts here. It takes you down to the rapids where you can sit on rocks and soak up the sun. Depending on the water levels you can make it out to the middle of the river. Great energy from nature here. A hidden gem

Biggest bugs I've seen and probably the most spiders I've slept with so far. Installations are a bit rustic... but an amazing looking site though, the view, the beach, the calm and well distributed camp site. If your not too afraid with bugs, it is a dream place

Great place for a weekend camping trip with the family, we stayed in the cabin pod and it was great! Will definitely go back next year.
