This review is long over due but is very necessary. Perhaps it can be a teachable moment for store staff and management in regards to store policies and staff cultural sensitivity training or awareness. I really enjoyed shopping at this store initially because they have a very wide variety of fresh produce and vegan products. In fact I shopped there quite often.However, during post COVID when masks mandates were lifted the store policies were tyrannical in nature and disregarded the medical exemptions of customers. I was denied the opportunity to complete my instore purchases because I wore my mask under my nose. Due to the nature of my disability I cannot cover my nose without experiencing shortness of breathe and potential fainting. Even though I explained to the staff my situation they completely disregarded my health conditions and denied me service. To make matters worse I also experienced racial discrimination. Two store staff members in particular would keep monitoring my items in my cart from a distance to ensure that I checked out all my items while the other conveniently followed me in nearly all the aisles I was in while shopping to stack shelves or look at my items in my cart.On the other hand there were other workers who were pleasant and did not treat me in this dehumanizing manner and were very diligent at their job. That is the only reason I am giving a two star rating, although in all honesty they deserve a one star rating after the deplorable treatment I was subjected to. I do not recommend racialized people to shop at this store due to this. If it is necessary for you to purchase from Organic Garage, perhaps try another location where maybe the staff will treat you with the dignity and respect you deserve as a paying customer.

Great place, rarely packed with people so perfect to shop without any stress. Staff is nice and helpful. for some popular products, restock time can be long but I still highly recommend the place

I love that they have organic bulk spices and organic herbal tea, rooibos included, bulk olive oil dispensers and a few other things where containers can be reused. They have fermented kimchi and sauerkraut though not as much of a variety as I hoped to find. The bulk section needs some improvement, I found myself writing codes pen and paper as pen doesn't write on the plastic bag they provide, transfer from jar to plastic bag is somewhat annoying, not enough scoops around either. Prices are in the fair-to-expensive range. Store is clean and well organized.

Organic garage could be a great supermarket. It looks nice and has some good products, but its management seems either greedy or lazy. Too often it has products way past expiration date on the shelves and/or its produce has mould on it.We try to check as best as possible, but sometimes you can't see how old their produce or other items are until you get home. Considering the price of a lot of these items at this supermarket that is pretty unacceptable. Whole foods doesn't have stuff like this happen nearly as often (I've never seen it happen at Whole Foods personally)

They got water bottle at a reasonable price and there's a gym next to it so it is indeed slime

It just opened today! As with any store, there are some growing pains that will be experienced. The place to put your empty baskets at checkout will definitely cause you to knock items off a rack. But, the store is amazing. The produce section has an amazing selection and is much cheaper than I'd expect! I am close by and this place has enough variety for me to do all my groceries without spending much more than I would at metro.

As always, Organic Garage is a great stop for healthy food and groceries in Toronto, and more specifically, the Junction. The quality is good and the service excellent. We recommend it to our clients!

Useless management that violates consumer protection act by having one price tag on display but trying to charge you a full price at the cashier for exact same item claiming that the price tag on display is the last week sale. Why are you having it on display then? Management refused to adjust the price to match the current price tag which is a consumer protection act violation!They constantly have sales items that don’t show up at the cashier, even for the ongoing sale, so if you don’t point it out they will charge you a full price.These are ongoing issues that haven’t been fixed in many months and only getting worse! Shame on you Organic Garage by scamming your customers!

It’s a store like this that makes me wish I still spent a lot of time in the junction.They have really unique gourmet organic stuff that you don’t find anywhere else.Stuff like Organic Meadow Strawberry Ice Cream! Or organic gummy candy or jelly beans!Just a really cool selection.I’ve never been unhappy with a purchase.The staff are friendly and helpful.Plus, the store is unique, well organized and fun to browse in. Just a great atmosphere.Miss this place.
