Third Review of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act

Overall is good however, I just wish Parm Gill does something better than just relying on closed captioned as English is considered our 2nd language reading it is best to have an ASL interpreter on screen when he does live chat or any other public section speaking. He works in the Parliament and I expect him to be more aware of ASL as our 3rd official recognized language part from English and French! If you really care about getting our votes then how do we expect Deaf people to vote if they don’t know or understand what candidates are saying, unfortunately we vote by what others tell us. People vote for the wrong reason then we end up not being happy about it. It’s extremely important for us to know who we want to vote for especially when it comes to accessibility. You need to show our values in order for us to feel valued we, the Deaf Milton residents will be motivated to participate.
