Beautiful trails and scenery. There is obvious care and maintenance. I love it !!

Trails to either go mountain biking on in the summer or cross country skiing in the winter months.(or even snowshoeing on!)Also the perfect place to take pictures of either wildlife or the scenery!

A lovely natural recreation area with 4 different staging areas. There are trails for horseback, trails for walking, trails for skiing, and shared trails. All sorts of trails to choose from across a variety of terrain for any number of scenic adventures. Each trail, direction, or season, adds a different element to the experience.The four staging areas are easy to find with good highway signs indicating their location. At any of the staging areas, there are good fixed maps for planning walks, picnics, etc.; washrooms are available; maps are there for the taking too.

Lots of trails to enjoy year round either hiking,or by horseback. Popular with bird watchers during the summer months.

I recently went for a walk at Cooking Lake - Blackfoot Provincial Park and had a fantastic time exploring the wide and varied trails. While they were not paved, they were maintained well enough to hike on, yet provided a great opportunity to immerse oneself in nature. There were many ponds along one of the paths we took, which added to the beauty of the park. We also saw lots of wildlife, which made the walk even more enjoyable. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the trails! It was also great that the park wasn't too busy when we visited during the week, and the parking lot was very spacious.My star ranking system:1: Bad / Don't go there2: Could be better3: Average4: Above average but not the best5: A true top notch place

Trails are well maintained and the scenery is stunning.Also are super wide, so perfect occasion to ride your bike.Not many people around which is much appreciated. Bring a lot of drinking water bottles as there is no place to get near the park.

Love biking here! Love the bison, trees and wildlife.
