Greater Vancouver Food Bank

I can't imagine someone that really needs this service ....what a terrible experience ......To start no parking......how someone that provide a food service doest have parking for people who pick up the food......horribleThey cannot keep going like these.....the big companies who support this organization with money and Donations ....they need to audit this ....it is not working for the people that are supposed to help .......I know a person who was in their black list " because she was there two minutes before the opening time....( they refused to give her food for a whole month ) HORRIBLEDefinitely someone needs to fired their CEO or general manager.....it is not working .....maybe is working for the companies getting a brake with the donations for next year taxes but not for the people in need ......We should be ashamed that we tread our new Canadians and our own people like second class citizens"

I am writing to express my disappointment and concern about the way I was treated by a member of your staff during a recent visit to your location. I was extremely upset and embarrassed by the way the worker spoke to me and my friend ( I bring my friend she doesn't speak to much english) that woman raised her voice at me in front of others.is never acceptable for anyone to be treated disrespectfully or to be spoken to in a way that is aggressive or rude. I expect to be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of any differences in language or background.I hope that you will take my concerns seriously and work to ensure that all the people are treated with the respect and professionalism that they deserve.Please we are human and not animals. I read the comments and I see that even the workers have bad experiences there.Remember that without people, companies like this would not exist, we help each other, we are not animals.

Love the service and food (fruits & veggies) are good.

I called to book an appointment with an asian lady at reception today on Wed, Jun 28 at 4:15pm. I have autism and she was very condescending and spoke down to me the entire time and made me feel very small. I had a panic attack midway and she seemed very pleased with herself after. Her voice softened an suddenly turned 'kind' after.Then, about 20 minutes later, i called to reschedule the appointment to another location via voice message. What ended up happening was i was never able to speak to anyone but had my appointment cancelled without my knowledge.It feels like this organization is using scheming tactics to turn people down. Now it says i need to wait 30 days to book another appointment.

Incredible organization helping people in need. The volunteers are always kind and friendly.

I volunteered here and Brandy was a spectacular person to deal with. The facility is immaculate and everyone is super friendly and genuinely happy to have you there helping.

The receptionist at this facility denied a friend of mine with 2 children, access to food for 30 days because my friend was trying to reschedule an appointment over the phone . They accused her of swearing at them and this is grounds to have a family go hungry!!! These people are a joke, especially now more than ever with the inflation.

They even went as far as lying and saying, I was swearing at them. No one use bad language your receptionist needs to get fired or more training !! My daughter woke up sick they had the nerve to tell me I have to wait a month to get an appointment for food!!! Because I didn’t give them a 24hr NOTICE EVIL
