Finally got to try their dine-in last night, I’ve ordered from them quite a few times via UberEats in the past. Service was great!They offer authentic HK style dishes.Their evening set meals include a soup of your choice & unlimited rice if you pick 2 dishes from that menu. Would recommend!

Service quite nice, but unfortunately the food seems to be “meh”. My main dish was flavourless and 80% rice, not worth the money. My dad found his meal to be too plain too. However the lotus paste steamed buns were very delicious, maybe their dim sum menu is better

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years. A typical Hong Kong style eatery. It has been and still is the ONLY Chinese restaurant on Somerset I will go to.If you just feel like an afternoon tea, you can order HK style milk tea here, with a fried donut or a fried bread stick. But Cafe Orient offers a HUGE menu, from dim sum to all kinds of noodles and rices, and all kinds of meat dishes. During dinner time, you can order from Set Menu and it comes with soup and rice.Today my sister and I started with the HK Milk Tea with a fried donut. Then we ordered some fried wontons with sweet red sauce. For dinner, we ordered Eggplant/tofu in garlic sauce, and a Sesame Chicken. We also had a Stir-fried rice noodles with shrimps and scrambled egg sauce. Delicious. We had plenty leftovers to take home. Very very satisfying.

It was full when we arrived but we didn't wait long to get a table for dim sum. Although the food was a tad salty, it was tasty. Not to the level of imperial restaurant in Brossard but still enjoyable. The prices are good and the portions are excellent. The family enjoyed it.

Highly recommend!The food were sooooo good! We had lunch even the time was short. But the place was full of people.Their dried beef rice noodle is the best! So far we tried all Dim Sim in Ottawa. This is the number one for sure.The customer service was good. The owner and server always nice and with their cool service style. The stylish more like HK style. We will def go back to have another great time there!好吃好吃好吃！干炒牛河和香辣鸡饭，超级推荐

Good dinner options and very helpful staff. The menu is a little tricky to understand, they have a lunch and dinner menu. The dinner menu is more expensive but gives you more, the lunch options are more like snacks, that's how I understood it, both menu have a huge list of different options. Meat was very tasty and spicy even with less spice so be careful, but still good to eat. Everything came with good rice, they would also give you more, but we where fine with one bowl.

The food is always great here. The servers are friendly and attentive with your orders/request. We’ve never left this place disappointed with the quality of their food - especially with it being very affordable.They have dim sum order menus available as well.I only wish their wasn’t such a strong odour while sitting there to dine, hard to describe but it’s very close to the smell of moth balls mixed with the smell of a public washroom. This was really only noticeable the last 2 times we’ve came here - hopefully it’s gone now.

A really authentic Hongkong style restaurant! I'm a loyal customer of here! Lots of dishes remind me of the days in southern China. Definitely a worth-to-try restaurant!

I love this place. It has that grandma made food vibe and never disappoints. Its a Hong Kong style Chinese food and probably the best congee in Ottawa.Extremely fast service and the ladies are very hospitable. An institution of Cantonese food in Ottawa.
