Amba Spa at Horseshoe Resort

Every year a group of ladies and I go to the Horseshoe Valley Resort for a celebration of life. I hadn't received the spa treatment in the past but decided to give it a try this year as all the other ladies thoroughly enjoy it! Rhonda was absolutely amazing during my facial. She was very kind and explained the process with me. It was very relaxing and nurturing. Susan was my RMT and she was amazing as well. She had just the right amount of pressure and that too was very relaxing. I loved both of my services and will be booking again next year at our girls retreat.

I went to the spa yesterday for a massage. It was terrible. Hardly any pressure and I went for 50 minutes.. I only got a massage for about 35 minutes. It was not worth the price and I would never go back there again… I mean never. The rooms are really cold and Massage Therapist didn’t even want to be there. All Street did was complain.

This story didn’t start well but it had a great ending. I booked a hot stone massage with Natasha on Saturday when the also had a bridal party at the Spa. I had to wait for an hour total for my therapist to come available! During the wait I was offered a complimentary mimosa. Yummy! Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to wait any longer due to prior engagements. They were all very apologetic. Later that evening I received a call from a women that I assumed was the manager and she offered me a free service the following day. Luckily, I was able to free up time and I got my hot stone massage with Natasha. It was very relaxing and she was very sweet. I appreciate the compensatory actions from the Spa and I most certainly will use their service next time I visit.

The service was amazing. I booked a last minute retreat and it was pure relaxation. JC was able to book me in for the last availabilities of the day and explained all the different amenities to which I had access. Love love love the products they used for my facial with Kait and my hot stone massage by Michelle was divine. Thank you all so very much for a much needed day of rest.

Very clean and a lovely atmosphere. My boyfriend and I had couples massages and pedicures May 22, 2023. The two women who worked with us were great and enjoyable.

My mom and I went to the Amba Spa to get manicures and pedicures the day before my wedding on August 28th, 2020. The service was exceptional. The room was so peaceful. Our estheticians were so kind and so talented. It was the best manicure and pedicure we both have ever had. It was the perfect, relaxing mother daughter experience we needed before the business of the wedding. The spa also got me a very special congratulations gift which made me feel so special and wonderful. Thank you so much!Love, Cathy and Liz

My body treatment today was supposed to be 50 minutes. I went in to get undressed right at 1 pm. The treatment started approximately 5 minutes after that. It was to be a full body exfoliating and moisturizing treatment. The back of my thighs were not completed. It stated scalp and face massage as part of the treatment but the person didn’t touch my face once and just repeatedly pressed on the top of my scalp ignoring the back and sides of my head. The treatment room was freezing cold, even with a heat pad on I never warmed up. She stated my treatment was completed at 1:44pm so… it was approximately 40 minutes not 50. This was exceptionally disappointing not worth half the price paid and I won’t be back to this spa.

My boyfriend booked massages for my birthday while we were staying at the horseshoe resort. We specifically wrote “relaxation” as the reason for coming. This is a spa correct? So all the employees should understand that “relaxation” means minimal talking. Tell me why I hear the RMT laughing like a cow in the next room with my boyfriend. I heard her loud voice and laughter from my own room the entire time. This is a spa setting, not the mall and definitely not her house so I don’t understand why she thought it was okay to act unprofessionally. As a couple coming in for a COUPLES MASSAGE, she needs to be respectful. To top it off, she rebuttals by accusing my boyfriend of making her feel uncomfortable because he was talking about ME. She started asking my boyfriend questions first about his tattoos etc., making him uncomfortable. So why are you trying to make yourself out to be the victim? Went to Vetta Spa afterwards and this little spa should have a field trip there so they can learn a thing or two from them. I wouldn’t go to this place for free even. It’s sad and the vibes are disgusting. Love the receptionist though, she’s a sweetheart and tried to compensate us for this horrible experience. Money doesn’t matter though, I’d rather have not gone here at all.

I recently attended amba spa with a bridal party of four for their 50 minute hot stone massage. My massage was so pleasant and a relaxing experience. When we returned to our suite we began talking about the massage and realized three of us had a very satisfying massage and one person did not receive anything comparable to ours.The questionable massage had very limited hot stone use (hot stones just placed on top of a towel on their skin, compared to the rest of us being massaged with the stones), had to inquire to have the sheet cover them up more appropriately and leaving with oil rubbed all over their face and hair. When the spa was contacted they acknowledge they had had complaints before about this person and offered a very minimal refund ($22) for a very expensive massage.Three ladies had very lovely experiences and one, not so lovely which is frustrating when you think about the amount of money we spent trying to have a special afternoon for a bride to be.

I went in today and had a beautiful manicure from the technician named Ronda. She was calming, kind, and very very good at her job! My nails look amazing. Thank you Ronda and HV Amba team.
