From southern Colorado to the wilds of northern British Columbia, the Rocky Mountains are stunningly beautiful..how fortunate to have camped, worked and toured so much of the second longest mountain chain on earth! Next time around, look out Andes!! :-)

Great place to hike and camp. The Earl Gray Cabin campsite is easy to miss if you don't watch close as it is off the trail and a bit overgrown. The cabin is full of giant pack rat nests, so it's best to sleep outside. Toby creek is good sized and has great rapids/falls.

The Purcell's are absolutely amazing a must see for anyone visiting the Kootenays. If hiking is not your thing book a heli-hiking tour with high terrain helicopters. In the winter months check out stellar heliskiing for epic heli-skiing or Powder Creek Lodge for some great touring.

Last of summer Ice and snow. Get there while you still can. Being able to play in the snow in July in Canada has only a few short years left

Up Fry Creek Canyon. Snow still limits hiking. Made it up about 10k, just after the big landslide boulder field. Trail is in rough shape. Seems like many landscape events are re-shaping the valley since the major creek flush back in 2013(?). Hope it gets some work done on it to make it more accessible.

Gorgeous lands to explore. Be prepared for hiking and spending some time in the wilderness. If you can find a local, they can tell you some great spots to explore.
