Please beware of 889’s inflexible return policy, lack of transparency, and rude and condescending staff. They don’t care about their customers. Stay far away from them. Not worth it.They sold me an open silk pillow case. Did not inform of their return policy- no refunds, only store credit and even that they refuse to give. Very shady.A few days after purchasing the pillow case, I saw that they offer a pretty significant sale. I came to the store to ask for a price match (having only bought it a few days earlier). The salesperson told me that the product is open and used". I clarified that I am returning it the same way I received it

889 Yoga is not just a studio, it is a community. A wonderful one. The second I walked into the beautiful space, I knew I'd found something truly special and unique in Toronto. The staff is kind and knowledgeable and immediately make you feel welcome. There is nothing intimidating about the studio. I took their intro to yoga course and will always be greatful to 889 for introducing me to my practice. As I continue to practice yoga, and now meditation, I have tried several classes and instructors and continue to be impressed. This is a lovely studio filled with lovely people. 889 not only works my body, it calms my mind and opens my heart. I am truly grateful for this gem of a studio.

I have been visiting 889 regularly for the past 10 years and have been a member for the past 3 years. In my experience, it is by far the best yoga experience in the city. The teachers are compassionate, highly trained, warm and approachable, emotionally intelligent and professional. The classes are intelligently sequenced and diverse enough to suit everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners. The space is serene and spa-like and I can’t leave without picking up something new from the shop on most days. In particular, for years I have loved Jodi’s classes- she teaches with humour and grace and her decades of experience really shine through. 889 is more than just an after-work class for me, it has evovled into a community I consider to be a second home.

I attended a heal + meditate class at 889 and enjoyed it very much. The instructor provided great cues throughout and also offered a spirit card reading and discussion after. The space is cozy and welcoming and mats/blocks/blankets are provided at no cost.

889 Community is a beautiful and calming studio in the heart of Rosedale that offers Pilates, yoga, meditation and mama and babe classes. Prices are a bit on the higher end, but the setting (an 1800's Victorian home), the array of classes offered, the toxic free space, the boutique full of holistic health goodness, the educational pre-natal class and the approachable vibes oozed ultimate chillness. We'll be back for SHIZ.

I’d offer them 0 stars if I could. I was one minute late to class because of the rain, and still I wasn’t allowed in. Waste of time, money, and simply rude. It’s not the end of the world if you’re late, for such an expensive place they should be more accommodating to their customers. When you pay premium prices you expect premium service and this place is DEFINITELY not it. Will not be returning and I suggest you do the same. Don’t waste ur money folks.

There’s no parking at the facility and it’s downtown, so after I found parking and paid for it I arrived LITERALLY 2 minutes past the start of class. They were refusing to let us enter the class that we already (OVER) paid for. After insisting we attend the class we booked they wanted to charge us 3$ to use a yoga mat. There is little to no equipment needed for Pilates and you want to charge customers extra to utilize the bare necessities?? Not the mention the instructor was snobby and rude, didn’t acknowledge us at all ( probably because we were 2 minutes late). She only made eye contact or supported clients that were obvious regulars. The workout itself felt more like a stretching class, I got more of a workout sprinting from my car to the class.The studio was very crammed, we could not complete a lot of the moves properly because we could not stretch out arms out without touching others. Overall not worth our time or money and we won’t be returning

Beautiful place, clean and bright. The studio to practice yoga and pilates is serene. On my recent visit, our class was over packed. One of the women attending class politely expressed her concern with the lack of space, to which staff was not receptive. Customer service could be refined.

We just signed up as new members and hands down 889 is the best yoga place in the city. I've been going on and off my entire life to different places and 889 is so wonderful, peaceful and most importantly kind. The instructors are beautiful people-sooooo unjudgemental and extremely good and because of that, I've found myself getting better every day. I love this place. If you need healing, this is the place to go. Thank you. I just wish they offerred kids/family yoga classes!

Fantastic customer service! MJ and Eydis were so kind and wonderful! I love my new pillow cases and yoga pants! Highly recommend! It’s such a vibe there
