WORST BUILDERS EVER ENCOUNTERED!! I have bought and know other people who have bought property from Kaitlin Homes, they are terrible builders, their craftsmanship is garbage, they had a great community in lakebreeze and messed it up due to poor work on house, closing the house without finishing the interior, they left everything at minimum work using the laws of real estate in their favor such as only finishing a house to the minimum requirement before clients can close, I would highly stay away from these builders in the future if I ever see a new subdivision with them building it I will definitely drive the opposite direction, I hope the company goes bankrupt soon!

When we decided we needed a larger home for our growing family we first looked at houses available for sale but quickly realized that we would need to build our home so we could have the finishes and options we wanted. We had some very specific requirements. We first chose a Kaitlin home because they had the best layout in our price range in Bowmanville, On. The design was efficient and maximized the use of every square foot without a lot of the wasted space that we were finding in most of the available models. Our very specific requirements resulted in over $70,000 in upgrades, which is what we expected. With the assistance of the Kaitlin design team we were even able to modify the second floor plan to better suit our family and children. While we were often overwhelmed by all the choices and decisions that we had to make the Kaitlin sales and design team were very patient and helpful at the front end. The house was finished 1 month later than the original date which we felt was fair given all of the additional features that we had chosen. I will not try and tell you that the house was perfect when we moved in but I can tell you that every one of our concerns was acknowledged, addressed and resolved to our complete satisfaction. The Kaitlin customer service staff, from their office to their onsite handy men, were amazing and again very patient with us. The handy men were friendly and polite and our 4 children now know them by name and still wave and say hi if we see them in the neighbourhood at other houses. I have spoken with many home owners in my area that have had houses built and all of them that built with another company have some sort of horror story that was never resolved to their satisfaction and I am glad that I did not have to endure the same. We now have an amazing house that we will spend many wonderful years in. I would highly recommend Kaitlin as a builder to anyone looking for their dream home.

By far the worst company to buy a newly built home from. They dont respond to any concerns when you catch them in their lies. They forced us to close on our home when the house didnt have sinks, gas lines, a/c and hot water. Our evaluation also came in 300k less then what Kaitlin sold it to us for. (Rookie mistake on our part/ but low assessment was also due to Kaitlins inability to make our neihhbourvood a functional one) and always putting new home construction as priority over closed homes even though the closed homes are not yet move in ready.These guys are rookies. Dont know that they are doing. They have numerous houses that they built that they haven't sold in bowmanville still.

Positives: High-quality home, great floor plans, modern looking developments, reasonably priced.Negative: Home was a bit dusty when received.They do create great communities, for both living and the recreational lifestyles. Truly, well-designed floor plans, I wouldn’t change a thing in the home that I bought. I just wish that my new home would have been a little bit cleaner when received. There were some footprints on the hardwood.

Bought a townhouse in Bowmanville MODO newly built community. Such a terrible builder. First of all they delayed the possession and once they given the date, they gave only 1 week to finalize the mortgage and charged us $452 (incl HST) per day as a penalty. No professionalism shown by them. The quality of majority of the work is below par. No cleaning was done when the possession was given. So many unfinished works. Nail pops, AC wasn't working. HRV system has an issue. Water Heater had a gas leak. Dirty paint. Worst experience ever.... Still waiting for the technician to come and complete the works, its been more than a month since I moved with my family...

We have a Kaitlin house (not home). It is garbage. The build quality is horrendous. Garbage builder skills, garbage materials. I know that contacting Kaitlin is a useless endeavor. They pulled in the money and like all Corporations finding a sensible resolution is futile. Kaitlin will sell their garbage one way or another. So this format is one of many options to alert those who care about their finances.

Worst builder ever.Bought a new townhouse in Bowmanville with them. They take ur money and use every excuse for delays. We took possession in February and so very many outstanding issues still. Calling them and emailing them but no response back whatsoever. Not sure they even have any staff working. I’ve dealt with so many of their reps and manager of customer service but then they all disappear. No response back from any of them I would not recommend this company at all. You pay full price for the homes but when they deliver, it’s like you’ve picked up something from clearance. Horrible workmanship and materials used. They take your money and run because you can’t get a hold of them at all.

Don’t sign a contract with this company. Poor workmanship, ridiculous delays and many deficiencies at closing. Still waiting for several fixes months after closing. Zero communication skills.

Purchased a new build condo unit 3 years ago. Absolutely no issues after closing, all minor issues were fixed as quickly as possible and the people I dealt with were very helpful. Condo is very well built and haven't experienced any problems since moving in. Would definitely purchase another home from this builder in the future.

Worst builder ever!!!! Please people do not buy a home from them… 2.5 years later and they still haven’t fixed the deficiencies in my home… I’m in construction, when I told them there problems with the flat roof and it’s leaking in my house, they swore up and down that it isn’t that, coming to find out there more then half the subdivision like that… they also need to still change 3 windows in my house because of the condensation… poor workman ship, poor quality, and terrible customer service… Debbie was nice until we closed our home… when I tried to call her and tell her about the issues I’m having. Her response was… “so what do you want me to do” she’s definitely one of the fakest people I’ve meet, like I said, she will be nice until you close your home….. please people DO NOT buy a home from Kaitlyn corp….
