Kiwanis Park is the prototypical community gathering place for families that drew us to this city. On a late summer evening, the excited sound of laughing children on this park's playground is more than a mere tonic, it is the song of a renewed community and continuing belongingness.The harmony provided by the young men thriving in a spirited game of basketball in the foreground was all that was needed to accent a rich and memorable September night.
