Went in on a pretty quiet Saturday night around 6pm. Drinks took way too long considering it was not busy it was and absolutely not worth the price. I had the raspberry basil smash and literally just tasted like raspberry flavoured water. Thought I’d try a classic instead so went for a Manhattan and requested bulliet bourbon instead of Jack Daniels. That was completely ignored, the person I was with ordered a margarita and that tasted like lime juice and didn’t have a salt rim or anything. Don’t get me wrong, the staff here are really friendly, the place looks incredible, the food is great. I’ve been to a lot of great bars in Edinburgh and Glasgow, their menus are simple and relatively small but they do an incredible job, my advice to this place would be to simplify things and get better ingredients. 1703 has so much potential, but it seems to be all bark and no bite.

Good burger, nice location.Good staff, quite friendly. Not the best price for burgers, apparently you pay for the appearance of the place bot for the taste. But it is fairly good

Been in a couple of times now when it’s been quiet. Staff are super friendly. Service from the kitchen is really slow, been like that on our last two visits.Ordered two burgers and there was only one other couple who ordered before us. Three in the kitchen two behind the bar. It took almost an hour for our food. This has now happened constantly and it’s a really shame as the food is decent (for Dunfermline).Burgers shouldn’t take that long too cook IMO.

Just back from our overnight stay and it was excellent. The staff were all so friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and a great range of cocktails to try. The room was quite small but had everything you needed for a short stay. All in all very good value for money.

A lovely hotel near to the bus station.Very welcoming and friendly. Everyone was really nice but Jade went above and beyond. Always smiling no matter how busy she was on reception and also serving food. Definitely managerial material.

I must this place is amazing. The 3 of us girls booked in for the night before a wedding. The staff went way beyond the call of duty. Nothing was too much trouble. They were really friendly and breakfast was so tasty. Highly recommend. Definitely be back x

This is a lovely historic hotel that offers a bar, restaurant and cafe for breakfast. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were great. They were helpful and friendly. The steaks at the restaurant were really good and cooking it yourself was a surprisingly fun activity. Breakfast in the morning was very good. The location is perfect for exploring town and is a short walk to shops, restaurants, the abbey and park. We overall had a great stay.
