It's a terrible place

I went to McDougal house 14 years ago and it saved my life. Top notch staff, chef, meals were not all carbs. Clean and a sense of a home, which many women had not lived in such a peaceful environment in forever. The Counselor's cared a lot about us. I wish I could go back for 2 weeks and do sone more work on myself.

To the lady who said McDougall Place was a horrible place I pray for you..you ungrateful. Self centered and egotistical human being...in 1977 I tried to get sober...I was in and out of “the house 13 times”. With the wonderful help of Jan D, Marjorie the director, Jean, Sue and other staff they led me into reality and I was there for 13 months...my last drunk was May 26 of 1980...if it weren’t for the love, support and encouragement I got from the staff I would be dead today...I just celebrated 40 years of sobriety and McDougall House played a huge part in that...If you have an attitude when asked to do chores and be up in the morning, DO IT..I only hope because they did not tell you what you wanted to hear you say nasty things about it....if you are still alive, I hope you hit your bottom and rethink your words...Bonnie Garrison. Safe atmosphere safe and amazing staff

Attending McDougall House is the absolute best decision I have made. It is a wonderful place for women in recovery to heal and grow. The staff is supportive and non judgmental and the program is extremely helpful and relevant to recovery. Being at McDougall House has helped me grow into the sober, confident woman that I am today and I will be forever grateful for the time I have spent here.
