Alpenlofts Veterinary Hospital

This is my second review of this clinic. I made one a number of years ago, not long after Dr. Grewal opened. I'm writing a second review because after many years of taking my cats to Dr Grewal his level of knowledge, care, and compassion towards my fur family is the best I've ever had. I never feel overcharged, and they are always willing to go over things thoroughly with me so that I feel like I have a good understanding of everything that's happening.Dr. Deamon is also there now, and he recognized, and diagnosed and extremely rare lung disease in my cat that has only been found apparently in four other cats in the world. We knew he had feline asthma already but this was a new development unfortunately. They even went so far as to print me off the information about this rare disease so that I could better understand and manage Oscar's issues. I could go on and on, but just want anybody who is considering taking their fur babies here that they will definitely be in good, trustworthy hands.

We went to Alpenlofts within an hour of their closing time the other night because our puppy ate something she shouldnt have. We hadn't visited here before but knew friends that recommended them. We were SO grateful that they were open a bit later than the other vets in town!!!! Thank you so much to your team for your great care and help with Honey's situation". They even called the next morning to check up on her to see how she was feeling. It's the little things like that which make a huge difference! I would definitely recommend this vet hospital

My wife and I were staying in Whistler when our puppy had a severe swelling reaction in her eyes. As the emergency vet in Whistler wasn’t answering the phone, we were faced with driving all the way to North Vancouver. Fortunately this vet saw us at the very end of the day right before closing. Everyone there was kind and compassionate. Our puppy is doing much better already and we are relieved and very grateful.

The staff and vets here are so caring and compassionate. They’re always there to answer questions and concerns and I get a feeling they all genuinely care about the pets. It helps they are also so polite and respectful to us as the main caregivers whenever we bring in our dog for checkups or anything else.

Very truly the worst vet experience I have ever had. Due to the doctors ineptitude he opened a wound even worse while inspecting it with a tool, whispered to his assistant to randomly force pin, has zero bedside manner and had no idea how to minimize the trauma and impact of a simple wound cleaning.Not to mention, they're space is actually foul. No public toilet, I needed to wash the blood from my hands and I was allowed into the back room. The towels are all soiled, the space feels dirty, and not to forget they sink and hand washing station wouldn't even meet food safe for a restaurant let alone the sanitation for Healthcare.

Had an emergency with one of our dogs just before they were closing. The veterinarian and his staff stayed open and took great care of our pup! They were kind and did everything they could and he is much better! Definitely recommend. Thanks to them for helping!

Kind, professional, available, amazing hours of operation. I can't say enough about how happy I am to have the team at Alpenlofts always there for my dog. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I drive from Whistler as the availability of appointments and services are so much faster than here in Whistler.

Gratefull to the staff at Alpenlofts for helping our cat with his problems on such short notice on a Saturday afternoon.Very friendly, courteous and reasonably priced. He is much more comfortable now.

All the staff are friendly and my cat likes it there she doesn't shy away from the Dr.

I don’t normally write reviews but I feel compelled to share how amazing all of the staff are here. We brought our cat here after he was attacked by a coyote when no other vet would see him on short notice. They easily could have charged us an emergency rate but they didn’t and were amazing the whole time.Yesterday we took the same to cat there to be put down after his lengthy battle with cancer. The staff were very compassionate and even thanked us for doing all we could for our cat. I couldn’t believe that the vet actually shared a few tears with us as he was being put down. Incredibly compassionate and supportive, can’t recommend them enough!
