After loosing/ forgetting about our special birthday order placed 2 hours in advance the restaurant was unable to make it and told me there was nothing they could do.

A lovely little sushi shop, they used to be in Sidney which was a short walk from home for me, but now they're in Brentwood, still worth it to go to.

THEIR MENU IS IN THE PHOTOS IN ENGLISH. Fantastic food. Happy to finally have a Japanese food option in Brentwood Bay. They are friendly and accommodating when I explained a food allergy. Prepared my food perfectly. The gyozas are so good, sushi is top notch. Can't wait to eat there again.

OH MY GOODNESS I gave the review to the wrong restaurant! So Sorry Yami Sushi <3 now I recall the restaurant. I was there and you did treat me very well and the portions were not only yummy they were sizeable portions and great prices. Please accept my apologies.

A great, charming little sushi place. They do not have a wide variety of hot foods but the sushi is delicious. Try the mango roll for something different! It’s my fave. They always have friendly service, peaceful piano music and a self-serve urn of complimentary hot tea in the corner.

Very close to butchard gardens. Amazing food quality, taste and price. Even if you are in downtown, worth the travel.

Best sushi I've had in Victoria, perfectly crafted every time. I keep meaning to take a photo of my orders but find myself eating it before remembering to.They are a small operation, just the couple running the place to my knowledge. That means during peak times there is often a bit of a wait, but it is always worth it. They make your food when you order it, not hours beforehand. Plan accordingly, you can't have the quality and care of a small shop as well as the consistent immediacy of a chain restaurant.

California rolls have a great taste, and the food is fresh and enjoyable. Time to serve depends on how busy they are but they do quite good turnaround so haters gonna hate. Would recommend.

Quick, tasty, nice presentation and friendly staff. I work nearby so I order more often than I should. I recommend the tempura and ebi roll (shrimp roll).
