Dr. P. Rajan

My appointment was at 10:30 and I waited for 35 minutes only for her to say that is nothing even when I told her that it hurts sometimes. She was really unprofessional and did not ask me anything. The consultation only last 7 minutes.

I’ve been visiting Dr. Rajan yearly for the past 10 years. Dr. Rajan is thorough, professional and always interested in understanding my concerns. I’ve had several sunspots painlessly and carefully frozen by Dr. Rajan. Recently Dr. Backstein surgically removed an early cancer spot on my forehead, a painless experience. Aron who manages the office, always calls reminding me of my upcoming appointment with a welcoming and polite approach, helps reduce my anxiety. Excellent care at Dr. Rajan’s office.

I had a dermatologist appointment originally made for March 18 which I called 2 weeks prior and cancelled the appointment to April 29. Then someone called me who changed the appointment to April 28 which I unintentionally missed due to thinking it was on April 29 still.I have given the office a call today (MAY 5) to reschedule , the front desk was super rude and said I have missed it twice which was not the case. The front desk said that I have to pay 75 dollars for the missed appointment which I asked her to speak to the doctor to waive the fee if it is possible due to only missing it once because usually clinics give at least 2-3 strikes before charging the patient. Moreover she took 20 s and came back with a negative answer which is very shocking to me considering the fact that she explained the situation in 5 minutes.  Even before going to ask the doctor she refused to go due to the fact that she knew that the doctor's answer would be negative. Afterwards she rudely said that you missed it twice and there is nothing I can do" after hearing this I also explained that I work at the front desk and she needs to type in every accident that occurs in the patient's chart and keep a record of everything instead of just making the assumption that I missed it twice. Your clinic needs a person who talks nicely to people and has a good communication skill."

Today was my second visit to this place, first off they make you wait 1hr, its just business they try to cram as many people as possible. Dr Rajan is fully booked be prepared to wait 3-4 months never met her. The other Doctor just wants to prescribe Antibiotics or creams for Zits on my face, one word to describe my visits Useless!!! They don't have equipment to zap the zit or extract it !! which is what I wanted, instead, she lied and told me try this cream first come back and then will take care of it, on my second visit I find out they cant do it, so why lie ?? they wanted me to come in for a third visit to waist more of my time, no thanks, Good help is hard to find. If you have dry skin on your face, try using Aveeno Skin Relief moisturizing cream, this helped me a lot and/or buy an Aloe plant and apply.

Dr. Rajan was very kind and patient with me during our appointment. I had lots of questions and she helped me go through my concerns. She was a great help in addressing my skin problems and offered me a fast solution. Would definitely recommend!

I saw doctor Rajan as a teenager but moved away for school and had to switch dermatologists. I saw other physicians but none seemed to take my concerns seriously. By chance I got an appointment with her when visiting home and she was fantastic .She listened, validated my concerns, and let me choose my course of treatment. I've never felt rushed when I see her and I've always appreciated her bedside manner. Yes the waits can be a bit long, but it's probably because she's accomodating everyone (once I mistook my appointment date and time and she squeezed me in on the day I showed up)! I had to come back for monthly visits and she was well worth the travelling back and forth. Thank for all your help!

Terrible experience for myself and my family. My poor 14 year old had an infected Cyst on his back the size of a tennis ball. This so called Doctor refused to touch it after delaying our appointment by a month. She then bounced us to a Surgeon, an arrogant one. After another month of wait, we went to see the surgeon to have it removed. They made the operation room ready and then all of a sudden the aggressive Surgeon refused to perform the operation because the Cyst got smaller. He said how come you didn’t brought in your son earlier! We informed him that the appointments were being coordinated by the dermatologist office and this is the earlier they provided us. Now my son is left with a big scar on his back. I will take this matter to the court.Please avoid this place at all costs.

It has been a terrible experience because of the lack of knowledge/ incompetencies of the doctor! I had a kind of allergy on my hand palms, she prescribed me 2 lotions (so expensive) and one ointment, nothing worked!!! Even the condition worsened and it has spread to other areas as well.After a such a long ( 4-5 months) wait i visited again and showed her that I’m having more allergy at different areas but she didn’t bother and again gave one other ointment & now I am using it since 2 months but the condition is worsening!!!

5 stars strictly for Dr Rajan. Not for the clinic's staff. Dr Rajan is an exceptional dermatologist. Unfortunately in my experience it is not easy to find one that is knowledgeable and caring. She is. Also I don't need to make separate appointments for each of my skin problems as some other dermatologists requested. I gave 5 stars however 5 stars are strictly just for her. At the new clinic the receptionist was condescending and the nurse who burnt off something from my skin rough and rude. She handled me very raffly after I told her that I cannot lay down for the procedure because of my back problem. Without giving me a warning she took of my mask. After burning she put the smallest possible bandage half covering my wound. I will return to the clinic because Dr Rajan is really one of a kind caring person who I trust. Hoping that the new clinic's staff attitude will improve.New development: eventhough I was going back to the clinic every 6 months, so I had an ongoing relationship with the clinic and Dr Rajan i was not able to make my next appointment. The receptionist told me to go back to my family doctor and ask for a new referral. What a waste of time!!! Seeing my family doctor wasn't on my agenda. Really doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

If there is less than 1 star I'll give it to this clinic.. rude receptionist very bad experience. I went for my wart on my face, she gave me a cream cost more than $400.00 .. ok with mid. insurance I paid $181.00. but it's get worse and been infected.. I asked that rude receptionist to ask the doc. if she can see it any time only for 5 min. because my family doc. asked me to see her and she can't do anything about it, and she refused and said I have to wait till Jan. 20 !!!! and now it's Jun. 19.... so rude and unprofessional.. I'm wondering why they kept her with all complaints.
