I LOVE this school!!! It couldn't be a better fit for my children. They allow kids to he who they are without judgement and teach them to think critically for themselves. Things are gender neutral there which is wonderful and they keep and open and understanding environment. I have experienced good teachers at other schools but nothing to the level that is offered at this school. Teachers seem so much more engaged with their classes and I love that for my kids.

So I went there last year for Grade 9 (2021-22) And will be continuing there for Grade 10. I will admit that it's hard to make friends and you don't really know whose wholesome until school's almost over. Last year was my first year at Vic. And I quickly learned that even for the people who had been going here since kindergarten, wantedout of there.Vic's got some great teachers and the school is very passionate about PRIDE. But getting educational and mental help isn't something Vic is really qualified for.And for anyone who is into sports, Vic does have sports programs, but they aren't great. The reason I'm staying for Grade 10, is because, just like my classmates, we ran out of time picking where we wanted to go. And pray we can go somewhere else for Grade 11.

This school is going down the drain.Vic was somehow better during covid. This school always praises student services, but they did absolutely nothing for me. Student services told me that the accommodations I was asking for were too much to give to me. I asked for the ability to write important tests in a quiet space due to noise issues, to be allowed to have my phone in my bag and be able to use it if necessary, and to go for a quick walk in the hallway when I get anxious. Had to fight for this ability, and all they did was send out one email to my sem 1 teachers. No proper documentation or anything. Attempted to book an appointment with them to discuss high school planning, and making sure I would have proper accommodations for the PATs in November through they’re little online google form, and got a response in may saying they would get to me shortly. Appointment never happened. Had to walk in the day before the biggest of the tests to ask if I could have a quiet space because I was not succeeding in my other tests because I could not focus due to noise. I was told that I should’ve tried to get these accommodations sooner, when I had been trying to get these in place since September, and had been consistently reaching out since November. Granted, after a conversation with my social teacher, who had no idea I even had these issues because nothing was ever documented, I finally got a quiet space to write in. Bonus points for being told that I’m a great self-advocate every time I tried to bring up my accommodations with the people who are supposed to be there to help students. I’m so grateful to never do Vic olympics again. Some of the teachers are absolutely wonderful people though, and the bubble tea place across the street is awesome. If I could go back in time, I would still come here, because I did meet some incredible people and it used to be a lot better.TLDR; don’t come here if you have any form of anxiety or issues that require accommodations. Student services suck, some teachers are super cool, theatre program’s great, and the bubble tea place across the street is fantastic

alot of drama. Teachers disregard students needs, especially kids with autism. There is alot of misgendering of students if they dont look non-binary / transgender" Also

Amazing school, teachers are really accepting. You can do whatever you want without having to worry about 'fitting in'. Being a student myself, I don't regret my change to Vic at all. 100% reccomended.

Has the most extensive film program for a high school in the world, (this is fact) would definitely recommend if you are interested in applied graphic arts and film studios, it's not talked about much and I think it's a huge highlight.

I got irl jumpscared by a toddler. I’m not kidding. I was walking in the halls and some kid was in front of me, he jumped before he walked away and it was terrifying.

Not the best school to send your kid to. But still an okay school. I go here and the worst thing is that there are cliques so if you are weird in any way or your face shape is weird or something like that the kids will bully you. Even if its something you cant control (like your height for example) you will get bullied. Its not as bad in elementary but when you get to middle school it gets really bad, they try and help but sometimes they dont understand.

some teachers love to pick favourites and the school is v unaware of what student body is actually like. class of 2022 grad was extremely lacklustre and had little to no effort put into it other than the ceremony itself, which left a bad taste in my mouth after attending there for six years. good art options and fun school if you know the right people. loved some of my teachers too
