Solomon created a custom design for us based on a table we saw in a store that wasn’t the right size for our space. He nailed every single detail (specifically the bow tie joints that we loved so much) and nailed the stain color to match other elements of the design of our home. We just had the piece delivered last week and could not be more pleased with it. Cannot wait to use it for years to come for every day dining and big family events

If you need/want quality custom furniture, then look no further. Solomon was responsive and informative. I chose his own design for a custom table and 2 cabinets, but gave him my dimensions. He made to order, on time, and I couldn't be happier! We did everything over email, except for the final stain selection. I made a short visit to shop to see the colours in person. I am now in the process of deciding what to have him make next. He's good, guys. You will not be disappointed. The furniture is amazing and built to last. And local to Calgary!

Solomon built a stunning custom white oak table for our kitchen. His workmanship was outstanding and he matched the stain to existing wood accents in our home perfectly. I supplied him with a couple of photos of what I wanted and he built it exactly to the specifications.I would definitely use Solomon again and highly recommend him.

We were looking for a custom buffet to work in our dining area. After looking for a long while for pre-built furniture that was never long enough for the space (most seemed to max at 60 and we wanted 90")

After searching for months, we decided to compromise on a table at RH. Just before going to buy we came across Out of the Wordwork and sure glad we did!Solomon was able to take all of our ideas and build the perfect table out of solid Ash. It was the exact style & colour we wanted with just the right amount of distress we asked for.The craftsmanship and eye for detail is extraordinary but what’s even better is owning a unique piece of furniture that wasn’t mass produced and will never be replicated. The price was fair and timing was as promised. We’re thrilled with what we received and I’d recommend Out of the Woodwork 100%.

We purchased a custom coffee table from Out Of the Woodwork and we love it, the table turned out better than we could have hoped! The table is beautifully made and incredible quality. We showed Solomon one photo and he created it.Solomon and Marissa were very patient and helpful throughout the entire process. We approached Solomon with some design ideas to see if he could build us a custom dining table. He was very easy to work with as we iterated through this process and landed on a final design. Once we had a design, the most important factor to us was going to be the quality of the furniture. We wanted to use a local artisan however we weren't willing to sacrifice quality to make this happen. After a visit to his workshop it was very clear that this guys knows what he is doing. The pieces of furniture he had underway in the shop were very well made. The final result was a table that is exactly what we wanted, from the dimensions, design and quality construction. I highly recommend that people consider using local artisans for their furniture and Out of the Woodwork (Solomon) in particular.

We had a dining table made by Solomon, the Empire table, and we absolutely love it. Its a beautiful hand made, very sturdy, solid table. We had it delivered and put together by the delivery people recommended by Solomon which were perfect to deal with. Solomon was great to work with, he was very patient with our ideas and professional to deal with. The craftsmanship of the table is stunning, very well made and would 100% get more furniture made by him again.
