Decided to check out this place Sat. night and music is actually so good!!!. My friend and I was trying a nice place to hang out. Food is good and the DJ defo knows what his doing. I will go back for sure.

Great Friday and Saturday late night spot for drinks and food. It's the same entrance and menu as Hanjan but the bar opens later. Friendly service! If you're sitting at a table, press the button located at the ends of the table to get the attention of your server.

this was mine and all of my friend's go to bar 2-3 years ago. now in 2022, it's no different than any other bar on whyte. the menu has downgraded extremely (in selection and price), there is no dance floor anymore (it's filled with more tables), and the prices has gone up especially for the karaoke booths that are a whole $2 per song now. i notice it isn't as busy as it used to be as well, and they still get in trouble for business violations even years later lol?? while i will still come once in a while, it's not worth coming to all the time and staying till closing like before. the menu items that disappeared aren't served at hanjan either. the previous changed menu where they served tonkatsu was fine and pretty good. but the menu now is just horrible. the takoyaki was the only worth item for the price. the onigiri was flavorless and the bulgogi poutine was too salty. RIP 2019/2020 round 2. bring back things like the carbonara udon, army stew, fried chicken and tornado potatoes!!

I'll tell you my simple and honest opinion here. If you like Hanjan, then you'll like here. If you like Korean food, you'll like it here. If you're into going to a place for a memorable late night where there's coin karaoke booth machines, dancing areas, fancy POS ordering system that you order on tablet on the table and that allows you to buy food/drinks for others. You can also use tablet system to strike a chat with other table too. Did I say the food was absolutely delicious? They got some seriously flavorful dishes. I live near Whyte and this is my go to place now. Period.

As COVID restrictions are lifting, places like this need special mention so people know where to go to have a good time and meet some great people.Definitely a scene you need to check out in Edmonton especially if you're craving some Asian food.

Very nice place to hang out and have a few drinks. Also they have small karaoke machines if you want to sing in private. Their french fries are delicious.

I’ve been going here since it opened and it has not failed to be consistent with the good service and good food.While going through the reviews, I noticed that some people we’re disappointed by the service. Since it’s a new concept of dining, I feel that people should just cut them some slack and be more understanding.Now for the food recommendations, I strongly suggest you try their tacos, dumplings, and hurricane potatoes. Everything is good but those ones really stood out for me!Also, make sure you try their cocktails.Overall 10/10

R2 has always been one of my favourite places to go to. The staff are nice and friendly and always try to keep up with my weird requests. If they don’t have a type of drink that i like they usually try to get a hold of it or make whatever drink i would like to try. They recommend new things for me to try as well. The atmosphere is very chill and they play such a diverse set of music. Their local djs are always entertaining and the mood is always so lively. I personally don’t like jager bombs but my friends love them so i always end up drinking them but r2 has something called agwa bombs which are similar but different enough for me to enjoy. It’s a shared location with hanjan off whyte so you still get to eat the delicious food from hanjan but enjoy the scene of r2. They also play dramas on the walls sometimes as well!!I normally drink guava juice with red berry ciroc and for the longest time i kept asking for it and they eventually got it hehe
