Sand Cherry Stables

My daughter rode at Sand Cherry for about 18 months and our experience turned ugly very fast. We put our faith in Heather to help us find a horse for my daughter. This would be our first horse so we needed someone we could trust to not only make sure we were making a good investment but to make sure my daughter would be safe. Long story short Heather told us the horse was $6000 only to find out the horse was actually only $3000 and Heather got to pocket the other $3000. Before finding this information out we were told that this horse needed about a month to get into shape and it would be an amazing investment for my daughter. She is a good rider but nowhere close to being able to handle a green horse. On the day we met the horse for the first time the horse was given a tranquilizer to keep her calm for all of us to see. We received news of inappropriate behaviour and things happening in front of my child and made a decision to leave the barn. Once at our new barn we had the horse evaluated and this horse would take years to be in a position to be ridden by my daughter unsupervised. The sad thing about all of this is my daughter was already on this horse without any supervision and her life was in danger with nobody around to care. We had to sell my daughters dream horse at a huge loss and move on and the whole thing cost my daughter months of not being able to ride her horse and put in jeopardy that we could ever make this dream come true for her at all. The money I can deal with but a serious injury to my daughter could have been so much worse. If you care about your child this is not a safe environment for children and we were incredibly deceived and hurt by Heather. I would not let any child I know anywhere near that place.

Heather is an amazing teacher, we are very happy with her methods of teaching and our daughter just adores her! The atmosphere at the farm is very family oriented and we always have a great time when we go. Something for all of us to look forward too.

Sand Cherry has 2 coaches and a great lesson program. Coaches are caring and attentive. Beautiful arena and wonderful breeding program. I love to spend my day there and my grandkids love it too! Show season is always fun!

I have been at Sand Cherry Stables since the very beginning. I have seen the barn blossom to an amazing and safe place. Where anyone who has a love for horses can come and just watch horses or even start up taking lessons. Sand Cherry Stables starts from the very beginning, for they accommodate beginner riders to advance. Furthermore, this is not just a riding facility, but it is also one big happy barn family. Each person who joins Sand Cherry’s team is immediately taken under their wings and treated as one of their own! Heather Roung is an amazing mentor, coach, and gives her all with the horses and lesson students. She is someone that you can count on and trust when working with horses. Courtney is also an amazing coach at Sand Cherry Stables as well. She is always doing what is best for the lesson students. I highly recommend the riding program at Sand Cherry Stables.

Im a single Father of 2 daughters that attended one the day camps and they had great fun new learning experience. Heather was super flexible with pick up and drop off times to help with the added travel time to get to work.They enjoyed every moment of their camp including the pizza lunch they had! Staffs are extremely friendly, caring and supportive and made sure girls had a blast! My girls LOVED Heather and Courtney, just adored their time at Sand Cherry Stables.This is a great place to get your children out and about! My girls will be back since they won’t stop talking about!!

I boarded my horse at Sand Cherry Stables the last few years of his life. I believe the excellent care and attention to his health he received here is a huge reason he made it through his last winter. Heather and her family went above and beyond for us and I am forever grateful. Horses are treated as individuals here, and regardless of their place on the farm they are looked after as though they are her own. After stepping back from horses for a couple years I am now getting back in the saddle and didn't hesistate for a moment to contact Sand Cherry Stables when the time came!

Heather is amazing. Shes a seasoned vetern of competition riding and one heck of a teacher.She saved me from making a terrible purchase of a horse that could have been the end of me. It wasnt easy and involved several phone calls. She went way above what most people would have. Im lucky.Today I have leased the most amazing boy, 'Boomer'. Heather cintinues to school me and Im happy.If you are looking for an amazing yeacher with extrodinary skills, shes the one.She loves the horses in her care too. Each one is loved and cared for. I absolutely LOVED this barn. Rode here for a few months before an unexpected move and I cannot be more disappointed to leave, all the horses here are so wonderful and they all live very happy healthy lives, I would recommend this barn to anyone just based on the care put into the horses alone. Heather is an amazing trainer and coach and is always encouraging and gives copious amounts of opportunity’s to anyone willing, I’m so sad to leave this amazing family I was a part of here
