Pleasant Cove Resort

Amazing resort, everyone was extremely kind and welcoming. Beautiful beach area, and floating raft to swim at. Docks for boats and fishing. Caught the pictured pike in our boat right off the docks. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions/recommendations related to the area. Everything needed was provided. Everything was clean we will be back.

Nice little resort tucked away in a bay. Nice cottages friendly environment. Lots of fun for the kids and a really nice beach. Stairs going down to docks. Those with mobility concerns should research and contact resort to see if accessibility could be a concern due to which cottage you are staying in and access boat docks

My wife and I stayed here for a week. It was amazing. The cabin we stayed in was perfect for two.It had a little electric fireplace which produced a surprisingly large amount of heat for the room.I went fishing a number of times and had success each time. I hooked into some big pike and some nice sized smallies.We also rented a boat for a day which was awesome. The gentleman who helped us gave us places to fish and what to watch out for.I would definitely return.

Perfectly Pleasant in Every Way!!!I booked this little getaway for my boyfriend’s birthday and it couldn’t have turned out any better! Tracy was amazing to deal with and was so helpful in getting me prepared for the trip prior and also was great to make sure our stay was perfect! The room was immaculate and comfy with a spectacular view! We fished all day and night every day we were there and had a blast! We will definitely be back! Thanks again Tracy!!!

Our family (7) stayed in the new executive cottage for the past week and had a fabulous vacation. The cottage is so spacious and I loved the convection oven, granite countertops and lovely baths. The view of the beach area and bay was beautiful and I woke to the sound of a loon this morning with a full moon over the bay. We caught our limit of fish and enjoyed a lovely dinner one night. Great place to fish, swim, soak in the hot tub and sit by the fire pit. Thanks again to Bruce and his friendly team. See ya next year.

Was a great place for many years for us and our family. However, prices went up $1400 this year...$4600 for a week off season?!?... Look around at private cottages for rent...there are tons...we found a bigger cottage, for less than half the price...and it's completely private style, not resort style with people everywhere.Response: As to the prices, they must reflect the total costs incurred. As $3594 is the cottage, in addition $135 per boat per week for parking/launching and docking fees...@ 3 boats that's $3594 + ($135 x 3) + tax = $4518.87. I have found private cottages that sleep 10 not 6, with their own launch, free parking on property, and a private dock with 4 slips which are all included at $2250 for the week. This follow up review is not intended to be hateful, as Pleasant Cove is a beautiful place and the staff are absolutely fantastic, we always had a blast. Yes the resort has many more amenities than a private cottage, no doubt, but in all fairness, in the 10 years we were there most of them were no available to us. Understandable as the winter season would naturally close the pool and most amenities, but the hot tub was seldom open, even for wood we had to load our trucks and drive it over to the firepit ourselves because the wood shed was not stocked up daily. Nevertheless, we put our trust in the competitive pricing we come to expect for cottage rentals in Pointe au Baril. As fishermen, we come for one reason like most do at this time of year, eat, sleep, fish. Upon further reviews on private cottages compared to Pleasant Cove, all comments reflect, fast internet, full satellite tv channels, abundance of wood near firepit, ample parking next to cottage, dockside shore power, generators on standby for power outages, no cost" laundry facilities etc...In the end

Been there for 2 years in a row, booked a cottage in Feb, had to cancel 5 months before the date since we have acquired a rescue dog and they are not pet friendly. They with held $100 deposit, when they know they will have no issue re renting it. That's the last dollar they will ever see from us, I hope they enjoyed it, 5 star rating went down to 1 stars. Found a nicer spot at half the price, that is pet friendly.

We love Pleasant Cove Resort! Being on Georgian Bay is awesome. We loved the beach and the pool. The resort is clean and cottages are very nice. Can’t wait to be back this summer.

We were not staying at the resort but had booked a boat rental. We realized only after that we had been overcharged by over $400. We had rented the boat for 6 days and instead of charging us the weekly rate he charged us an exaggerated daily price that ended up being $412.55 more than the weekly rental rate. I have called 6 times and left messages numerous times with other staff being told that Bruce will call me back that day which he never did. I then emailed him and he did not respond. For a 'family' resort we would have expected better. Please do not support this resort as we would hate for you and your family to have similar experiences.

Have been going up for the last 7 years every November. Great cottages and very clean. Bedrooms are comfortable and more then enough room.The staff are always available to answer any questions we may have during the year or at the time of are yearly trip.They always make sure we have everything we need and that we always have first choice for the same cottage every yearCant wait for my kiddos to be older so they can experience the great time and fishing experience that I do every year
