Homestead Resort Golf & Snowmobiling Resort

Wow!!! What a hidden Gem. Going through some backwards gravel roads made me wonder of my decision. The course challenging but pleasantly easy to play. The mature trees, the rolling hills and the smell of the flowers give you a complete relaxation. The grounds keeper is a master. Highly recommend by me, a very lousy golfer that loves the game.

Visit on July 18th was amazing, steak with a loaded potato and hearty smokey ribs with mashed potatoes and gravy. 100% Perfect!Visit 3 weeks later to order the ribs again and was very disappointed with portion size and taste of the new sauce that was really sweet & vinegar strong more like sweet and sour than bbq, however the fries were perfect. Specifically asked about the mayo to dip fries into and unfortunately allergy to miracle whip/whipped dressing, were told they use specifically mayonnaise but the dressing that was brought out was an off white colour and sickly sweet unlike mayonnaise. Not sure what it was, did not use it.We also ordered the bruschetta with cheese and could not get past a few bites, the bread was soggy and the topping seemed to be stewed tomatoes and tasted like chunky pasta sauce, not bruschetta topping. Was not appetizing and left it behind.Hoping to visit again for another monthly date night but the two visits so far were night and day in comparison taste wise so we shall see, like to know what to expect. We went to check it on the first open day and it was too busy to eat. Much improved from the last visit several years ago. The patio looks awesome for when the sun is shining. The golf course looks good for casual players.

Nice course. It's not too hard, but the varied terrain keep it interesting, pretty and challenging to play. Food at the clubhouse is always reasonably priced and a good meal. It's not a fancy spot, but the restaurant and the course are great options that I'm happy to drive over for. It's exactly what I like - not pretentious, but still good quality.

I left a good review a year again and have been a happy customer here for years but after tonight i wont return waited 40 min for appetizers than since we got appetizers it told 1.5 hour to get diner said the owner himself than when I said it was also cold he told me we shouldn't return mean while we had a table of 8 and watched ppl enter and leave before we got 2 appetizers and as you can see by the owners comment he isn't ready to take any responsibility for the over 2 hours it took for diner or the cold food or that his staff forgot to take the kids orders twice once while getting drinks and when getting food and when I tried to talk to jason the owner he said he would take off the one cold meal and said we shouldn't return and stormed off mean while we had 5 other cold meals and he even has to lie and say I haven't been a good customer we have never complained before this and always left tips!!!!

The roast beef was tough unfortunately. The fish and chip Friday night, is not as good as their regular fish and chips. Both my husband and papa prefer the every day fish and chips to the special fish they serve Fridays. All in all the food is good. I just won't order the roast beef again. Their hand cut fries are amazing.
