Run down cabin that is overpriced. Stayed there for a weekend with a group of friends. There's no wifi. No toilet paper, hand towels, or bedding were provided. Old furniture and the place doesn't seem to be taken care of very well. The pool was advertised as part of the rental but when we arrived the cover was barely on and it was filled with bugs, seeds, and who knows what else. It was not usable but was one of the reasons we chose this cabin over other options.Very disappointed with the product based on what was advertised and what we actually got. I would not recommend.

Large rustic cabin in the woods. Stayed there for Christmas. Six large bedrooms, 3 large bathrooms. Large communal area downstairs with fireplace and smaller communal area upstairs. Hawkrock has ample space but is very rustic, it is clean but a little run down. Trim coming off, bathroom taps sticking, kitchen could definitely use an update. It was -40c when we were there and the cabin was amazingly well insulated. Even though there was electric heat and a gas furnace, once the place warmed up we only needed the fireplace to heat it. Dozens of deer roamed freely in front of the cabin making for a beautiful sight. If you can live with the rustic condition of the cabin you won't be disappointed. In cell range. 1 bar good for phone, can't stream. No TV, DVD or electronic entertainment.

Al the outfitter is the best in the business. His northern camp near Northwest Territory is awesome fishing, best in the world for huge pike, lake trout, walleye and grayling. He runs a very small but awesome camp. If you want to hunt bear you'll get an opportunity for a Pope and young Bruins. Deer camp is a great experience he has 14000 acres he hunts generally less than 10 guys per year this is on his farm east of saskatoon. Check it out give Al a call.
