Black Rock Oceanfront Resort

Amazing wonderful resort — will definitely be back! Gorgeous location in Ucluelet, right on the Pacific Ocean. Rooms are modern, very spacious, extremely comfy and cozy. Feels like a spa in the room, with almost full kitchen and amenities. The two restaurants (one more formal, one less formal) are awesome, super delicious. Highly recommend the B5 burger, buttermilk chicken sandwich, and eggs Benny for breakfast. Honestly, the buttermilk chicken sandwich is really fantastic— I’ll have that again when I’m back. Wonderful resort for a getaway for the family.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property has a very relaxing, spa like atmosphere.Highlights:- the staff are fantastic!- extremely dog friendly and the front desk staff are excited to meet your dogs- the food at the Big Beach Lounge exceeded my expectations. The bartender was absolutely fantastic too!- loved the soaker tubCould use some work:- uncomfortable mattress- some finishes in the rooms are looking a little worn outAll in all, was very pleased and would definitely return!

The room it self is decent and spacious. But we didn’t have any view.The pool was very very small and there was no space to hang out and enjoy the view unless you pay for the restaurant.Overall bot worth the value for us.

During my stay in Ukee I had two great trips to Black Rock. The first was in the lounge where I had the pleasure of encountering an outstanding bartender named Nathan. He had a very warm and welcoming nature as well as natural skill behind the bar. We enjoyed casuals drinks and bar snacks. My second visit was to Currents which was just as great as my first. Our waiter Ted effortlessly answered menu questions, made fantastic recommendations, and delivered an incredible experience. All three courses were top notch and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone headed to town. I will most definitely be back on my next trip.

What a place, what a location. Perfect place to enjoy a special time.We were enjoying a great family time when a rare forest fire closed the highway home. Staff looked after everyone and ensured we were looked after, extending our stay at a much much reduced rate. They kept us all informed and took away our anxiety .Thank you

The view from our room was absolutely amazing, Blackrock clearly has the view and ambiance nailed here. Worth the stay for a night or two just to see that. The shower in my room was also amazing. I love a good shower and this place definitely nailed it for that. As others have pointed out, the finishing touches in the room were either dated, broken or just not present. One thing that would have been nice for our trip in July would have been AC. The rooms were VERY stuffy in the late afternoon/early evening when we returned. I'd probably stay here again but I'd like to see some other rooms to see if they are a bit more updated or better kept.

The Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is absolutely stunning! This resort has ocean views that are breathtaking. It is position right on the ocean, where you can hear the waves all day and night long.The room was very clean and had lots of amenities (full bath, rain shower, two-plate stove, microwave, oven, and coffee maker). Everything you need is right there!The staff are also incredibly kind and always greet people with a smile. Definitely recommend this resort if you are heading to Ucluelet!

Absolutely amazing resort! Stunning panoramic ocean views, huge shower, everything you need in the kitchen (even dishwasher tabs and dish soap!). There was a sea flora bath soak in the room along with Epsom salts. Rain shower spout as well. Window between the bathroom and bedroom to look right at the ocean while you relax in the tub. The bed was so comfy! No noise from neighbours either! Ucluelet is a very friendly little town with lots of little shops and many treasures. Currents restaurant breakfast was delicious (we didn't have any other meals here). The resort is also super eco-friendly! No small plastic bottles with shampoo etc, there are dispensers on the walls and they have it all filled locally! Big beach was a short 5 minute walk, and there are tons of walking trails! Overall 10/10 experience, service, cleanliness etc!! We will be returning without a doubt!

Really nice looking, for sure. Came on recommendations from coworkers. Had a 45 minute delay with check in because of the staff not confirming that the payment did in fact go through. Cigarette burn in the extra blanket for the couch. Tub needed a rinse before use, which is more than okay, but in trying to do so I found that it wouldn't drain (30~ minutes for 1 of water).Place is beautiful

We stayed at the Black Rock Resort for 2 nights during our 2 week stay on Vancouver Island. The check in process was very positive as the staff are very customer oriented. Tough to believe the stock photos but our ocean view studio room (not in the main building) was stunning and well-worth it. The little things of dog bowls, blankets and treats was great. There was a “personalized” letter for the pups with rules and information plus there were many pup stations throughout the resort (and there is a pet fee). The kitchenette was great, there was a fireplace , nice deck, and a well appointed bathroom with rain shower, tub, robes and a warm floor. And to top it off, you are literally on the Wild Pacific Trail and could take awesome pics at sunset or any other time. Would definitely come back here.
