Star of the Sea has been nothing short of amazing.- The teachers and staff are the most caring souls.- The music program and Christmas plays are priceless.- The athletics program is excellent with wide participation across a variety of sports- The parish community and school community are intertwined allowing you to live out your faith at school, in the community, and at home.If you decide to make Star of the Sea part of your lives, the best advice I can give is to get involved and volunteer as much as possible – you’ll get to know your child’s friends, their parents, the teachers and staff - great community to be part of.At Star of the Sea, your kids will flourish and experience joy from K to Grade 7. It will be one of the best decisions you can make, not just for your children, but for your family.

this school had a chance to be one of the greatest in the economy. However poor decisions regarding SOS expensive business led them to bankruptcy. Star of the sea is a catholic elementary school that is located in Surrey British Columbia. Star of the sea is a school that serves both girls, and boys from kindergarten to grade 7. Star of the sea is a independent school that has operating under the independent school acts of British Columbia since 1981. This was very beneficial to there school as it helped provide their community an excellent academic program in a Christ centred environment. Star of the sea will educate your child, and while doing so are focusing on all aspects of the human person that include intellectual, physical, social-emotional, and spiritual. Star of the sea will always prioritize opportunities for children to grow in a catholic community that seeks to know, love and to serve God. Star of the sea school helps there children seek God by heading out to Good Shepard Church were they are greeted by father dion who is running the mass. The school also makes sure to teach there students about Jesus when Father Dion is unavailable. The school not only focuses on the kids but also on the parents. Around mid October, the school hosts an event known as Gala". Gala is a fun event to attend as there is plenty of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy aswell as options to bid for a painting a specific class made. Gala provides the opportunity for parents to hang out with their friends or to even meet new people. Athletics have always been a huge success at star of the sea. There biggest success is track and field and cross country as they have came 1st place in both CISVA events in 5 straight years. My daughter attends this school and has done so for 7 years now. Nothing but rave reviews. A five star shoutout for the fabulous teachers and staff! A quality academic program combined with a true family/community experience.

Star of the Sea is a second home to our children. The teachers and staff have taught our children much more than academics. Our children are nurtured in their spirit and mind to be life-long learners who know our loving God. We also love the families at our school. We are surrounded by people with similar values and beliefs which is very reassuring. God bless our school and everyone in it.

The principal Jason Borkowski always has a smile to share. He makes an effort to know the children by name and is visible within the school and out on the playground. The teachers are dedicated and show they truely care for their students through the little things they do and the extra curricular opportunities they provide for the students. The PE teacher Dorita Gaspar is particularly committed to providing an amazing and nurturing athletic program as well as outreach projects in which children can participate both within the local and global community. I highly recommend this school

This has been a great school for my son and daughter. Staff are caring and willing to go the extra mile to help students. My kids have flourished being at this school both academically and emotionally.

I am impressed how great of the school. My daughter is in kindergarten. She enjoys her school every moment. She shares her experience with me about her school and what she has been learned. So, I briefly know her school curriculum which is covered with Music, sports, French, drawing lessons, stories etc... which is amazing!

My kids don't attend Star of the Sea, but I wish they did!Over the past several months working with Star of the Sea's faculty and administration, I've gotten to know what a kind, compassionate and dedicated group of educators they are.I've witnessed first-hand how intentional Star of the Sea is about investing in technology, facilities, and professional development so they can deliver the best possible modern educational environment.Plus, the Principal, Jason, is a pleasure to work with and loved by students (including my two boys who miss him dearly since he left their school).

I was very impressed at how Star of the Seas has really stepped up during the time of Covid, from the initial switch to online classes in March to the safe return to classes in September. They even brought the pumpkin patch to our kids in the fall! All this without compromising the quality of an excellent Catholic education.
