Ameen’s Kitchen is an African Restaurant (Nigeria, to be precise) that has undoubtedly captured my heart and taste buds. With its exceptional service and mouthwatering dishes, Ameen's Kitchen has genuinely become a haven for those seeking a genuine taste of Africa.Ameen's Kitchen takes pride in serving a wide array of authentic Nigerian dishes that showcase the rich and diverse culinary heritage of the country. The menu is thoughtfully crafted, offering a variety of choices to satisfy every palate. Whether you are a fan of Nigerian smoky jollof rice, sorts of swallow with Egusi, Efo Riro, Okro soup etc. or Porridge, Ayamase stew with Ofada rice, you name it, Ameen's Kitchen has it all, and each dish is a true masterpiece. To sum it up, Ameen's Kitchen is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get. Their commitment to excellence, remarkable service, and culinary expertise make it a must-visit destination for anyone in Mississauga searching for an unforgettable Nigerian dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Ameen's Kitchen to all those who appreciate fine cuisine and the cultural richness of Nigeria.Give yourself the pleasure of embarking on a culinary journey at Ameen's Kitchen and allow their exceptional team to transport you to the heart of Nigeria through their incredible food and warm hospitality. You won't be disappointed!

The Jollof and Amala were a delight. My experience for Dine-in and bulk ordering was a good one. Small cute restaurant along Huntario rd. The food was well packaged and neatly done. If you miss a taste of home or just want to enjoy the African experience (Nigeria especially), you should visit.

TLDR: Partially incorrect order, BURNT food, bad smell, waste of money. After reading through all the positive reviews, I was really looking forward to trying Ameen's Kitchen, but it was a huge disappointment.First, we ordered the pounded yam with Egusi and fried turkey. Unfortunately, we received beef instead of turkey, but the egusi itself was okay, although, a bit on the drier side. The biggest disappointment, however, was the jollof. We love jollof and were excited to have found a local spot for it, but it was disgusting and burnt. As soon as we got home and opened the container, the kitchen absolutely reeked of burnt food, and the smell still isn't completely gone over a day later. With how bad it smelled, I just don't understand how any restaurant could let that leave their kitchen in good faith. We couldn't even stomach a bite because of how badly burnt it was, and how strong the smell was.Considering that we paid almost $50 for this meal, it feels like a total waste of money knowing that half of it was completely inedible, while there were mistakes made in the other (edible) half. It seems that Ameen's Kitchen is too focused on providing good food/service to their regular catering orders, while smaller walk-in orders receive burnt scraps from the bottom of the pot.Definitely won't be returning here, and would never recommend this spot to anyone.

First time tried Pounded Yam and Egusi with Assorted Meat, that taste is too strong meat flavored, meat like sun dried meat so hardy I couldn’t eat maybe the food usual authentic taste in Nigerian

This is the very first time I will be cheated in Canada, and it's unfortunate that it is a Nigerian business - a Nigerian just like me that has swindled me.I bought Jollof rice with Fish and four moinmoin, but on getting home I realized there is no Fish in the food, I was embarrassed as I bought the Jollof rice for my wife. I wonder how this is a mistake, as one will have to deliberately pack the food before the order is fulfilled. The people in charge of this place are terrible set of people. It's sad that I'm going to say to people to avoid at all cost, if they can, and try other places where they will get full value for their hard earned money.Never again.

I won’t be coming back to this place again and I would give 0 stars if I could. I called on the phone to place an order and they made a mistake on their end saying I only order one moi moi when I clearly ordered two. A man came out and gave me the second one since I had already paid for it. Problem was solved no issue. Moments later A women in the kitchen came out and was very rude saying I was wrong when I know what I ordered and asked them to repeat the order to me on the phone. If there’s a miscommunication between you and your staff deal with it with them don’t give me attitude bc the one paying at the end of the day. I found it unnecessary for her to come to me when the problem had already been solved and why there was so much hostile towards me. Especially when I had asked for the order multiple times. Customer service here is very poor I would have just went to 24/7 lounge and bar where the food is amazing and the service is good but this place was just more convenient and unfortunately the only place in town. Next time I’ll be taking the trip yo a better location if I knew I would encounter such a nasty attitude.

The food was ok, Ive definitely had better. They say the rice is smokey but it literally tastes burnt and even has a few burnt grains in there. We had to wait 25 mins for fried plantain. If you can cook ripe plantain you know it takes 10 mins tops. Service was ok.

Terrible!!! Burnt up food. Pics dont lie folks. Have a look. My whole house smelt like burnt food -- lingering! Terrible experience. Never again. Ordered from Skip the Dishes They only gave me half my money back. I asked for a full refund considering I provided pics and didnt eat this terrible food which was supposed to be Nigerian Jolllof. I love Skip the Dishes but they were flat our wrong for not giving me back all my money on this dish from hell. Folks stay clear of Ameens Kitchen. LOOK AT MY PICS!!!!. I took one fork full of rice and I can still feel the burnt flavor as I type in my chest. Stay clear!!!!!

I’ve dined in, done take out and also delivery… The food is fantastic! I would recommend delivery or take out, essentially because the restaurant has a “bukka” look and feel about it, if that’s something you like, you might want to dine in. It reminds me of affordable places where you would eat in Nigeria during your lunch break. I would also recommend a 45 minute notice period for delivery and pick up.Lastly, the staff are also very friendly.

People were okay, but hands down the worst jollof rice I have ever tasted, its not edible and it tastes burnt, I can usually eat anything when I'm starving but this food has legit made me gag. Would try somewhere else for authentic african food especially if you are looking to try it for your first time.
