I recently visited Laojiumen Hotpot 9 to celebrate my niece's birthday and was thoroughly impressed with the service and the food. The staff were incredibly attentive and our dishes were brought out in record time. The selection of meat, seafood, and vegetables was varied and fresh, and we particularly enjoyed the sauces that accompanied each dish. The only downside was the lack of dessert options, but this did not detract from the overall experience. As someone who is new to the hotpot scene, I am eager to explore other hotpot places. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and efficient hotpot experience.

Excellent food and service, loved the tomato soup base, lots of options for all you can eat. Meat tasted awesome. Interior design was on point, felt like eating in China

My favourite hotpot place so far. Great food, great decor/atmosphere and friendly attentive service.The crab paste pork bone soup base is my favourite. They also have 10% discount if u pay cash :)

The food is average. I can easily find other hot pot restaurants with similar quality.We came early (around 5 pm) so got a good spot to eat and talk comfortably.One thing we feel really disappointed is their service. I have never know that I would receive this level of service in Canada. Zero greeting, zero smiling, and always looking mad….The staffs were obviously just doing their bare minimum: deliver your food and collect empty plates. In my opinion, these people do not deserve any tips.

The restaurant has a beautiful view of Chinese palace. You will feel like kings or queens. There is a large variety or dishes and the food is very fresh. We has the mushroom and crab based soup, which we liked alot. You can order directly from your phone. Also, remember to ask for parking coupons.

As an avid hotpot lover, I can safely say this place will not disappoint. Walking into this restaurant is mind blowing and they have probably got the best set up in terms of ambiance, decor, seating that I’ve ever seen for AYCE hotpot places. The food was nothing amazing but it has all the regular meats and veggies you would want. The sauce bar was good too, but could be better maintained. The only really disappointing aspect I had was the service was not the best, it took a long time to get their attention - that being said when they did come to you, they were extremely nice and hospitable. Overall a must visit and it’s definitely different! I recommend the Tom Yum soup base and Mushroom!

Great experience! Really fun to go with a group as it allows you to try more things. The food was really good. The broths were amazing.Beware though, when you ask for spicy, it will be spicy. Keep in mind if you are doing all you can eat, eating everything at that spice level for the whole duration of the meal can be a bit much even for those who love spicy, which I do myself. At first it was delicious as most places don’t make food that spicy, but for a prolonged time, it became intense. Made the mistake of getting both broths as spicy. Next time I will do one mild and one spicy or both broths mild and control the spice level with a hot dipping sauce instead. Overall very good. Will definitely come back.Parking is free eating at this restaurant. You get a voucher after payment to exit out of the parking garage.

Great hot pot, we did the house special pork and the mushroom soup base. All you can eat menu had a lot of selection. All meat and vegetables were very fresh. Additional sauces can be obtained at the self serve bar, also a lot of selection there. Ended up spending over 3 hours there just eating and chatting.

Food was really good, and I was impressed with the freshness of the meat. Also loved the decoration, very cosy and unique. However, I have to say the service was quite disappointing, especially considering the high price. It's understandable if the servers were having trouble communicating or feeling tired, but I expected at least making eye contact or displaying a friendly attitude. Unfortunately, I didn't see any of that here. They seemed to ignore us and even forgot to bring out an item, even after we reminded them. If something was sold out, we just needed a simple word of explanation. Really not sure if I'll give this place another try.

The food was great, it's one of the best Chinese hot pot I have ever been.There's few reasons- they have all the sauces- they good all the main meat, beef, lamp...- you can easily control the heat- You can have your only pot.- Pretty big spaceI do agree with some other post, it's kind of hard to find parking
