Just Energy

This company is really pushy, and mislead customers. They will hook you by saying you will only pay 59.99 for your electric and 69.99 for your gaz. which in fact they are more expensive than our previous carrier. two years of contract which we wish we didnt do it

Just energy is absolutely awful! Not only are they exponentially more expensive than their competitors, their customer service is TERRIBLE I was never able to sign up for automatic bill payments because they lost my billing info each time I sent it in, they had my name wrong on my account and wouldn't allow me to change it because my name didn't match the one on the account... it never would! it was the wrong name! I called to inquire about a promotion I saw online and they laughed and told me it was for new clients only. When I finally switched companies and called to cancel the representative I spoke to talked over me, was incredibly snappy and rude then as a last ditch effort offered me the tiniest discount possible to see if I'd stay with them. Now 2 months after my service has ended they continue to send me bills because their system is so slow it seems they've forgotten I no longer am a customer.NEVER EVER choose just energy!!

I would avoid them too - discontinued perk program and don't say anything... I cancelled gas & electricity.... didn't cancel electricity and so had to pay for same an extra month... like so annoying

Zero stars from myself. Zero customer service, for 3 days I was trying to address an issue I noticed and there was never anyone to answer the call. Direct energy had someone available the first call I made, great service, gave me a better deal and now Just energy can not answer the phone all they want.

Wish I could give zero stars for customer service. Like how they stopped sending me a bill without notice and started calling saying payment was late instead. Whoever though that was a good idea should be fired. Out of a cannon.

JustEnergy randomly stopped servicing my apartment with no email, phone call or anything. I paid every bill on time and even called to see if I had an outstanding charge or something. Nope, all paid up. They just dropped me. Now Enmax has taken over and I have 5 months of electricity to pay for all at once because I didn’t know!!!! Absolutely livid, don’t go with this awful company

I switched over my electricity and Natura Gas to Just Energy in April. They were offering a promotion of $59 unlimited electricity per month plus taxes and fees. I thought this was great as I have a hot tub, large fish tank and 2 roommates. After 2 months of not getting my electricity bill and only my gas I called to see why it hadn't been switched from Enmax. They told me that because of my electricity usage that they couldn't give me the promotion! Isn't a promotion to save money!? They said they could do 7.99kw where I was already getting 5.99 with enmax. Do not use Just Energy!

If I could give a 0 stars I wouldVery unorganized, I discouncected my services in April due to an outrageous bill 2 months in a row after switching in Over in jan due to my condo board no longer paying for them directly.My bills went from $150 to $270 on average and even had ATCO come and inspect my furnace on two separate occsians because Just energy kept saying it was me...and my usage....even though my temp was set at 19, and I worked 12hrs days and was never home and my electricity bill proved that.I signed up with Enmax and paid my last bill with Just energy in April....but got another bill and Just every days I owe...I paid it. Then comes Sept I get a call that I still have an outstanding bill from may...which is absolutely wrong cause I also have my bill from Enmax. They say they screened a call from March that says I never canceled my services and I have repeatedly said that’s not when I canceled. That’s the first time I called to complain about the outrageous charges after comparing to my neighbors in the same complex who’s bills were $50-$120 cheaper then mine. I also never received a last bill...just got it in Sept and the customer service rep said it was marked as unread or undeliverable and I have the same email???My first bill from a Enmax was $180...$90 cheaper and stil -25 and I had have the amount of usuage.I have repeatedly asked to show proof and I get no where. Now I’m being threatened to collections and have a company that doesn’t listen.After posting on many Calgary Facebook groups of everyone’s experience. I see the same...yes they offer cheaper rates but they over charge in administration fees and they found their usuage was off the charts, that Just energy also over lapped once they were canceled and 6 months they also were threatened to be sent to collections.This company is a scam. I even have met a guy who used to work for them in Calgary as sales...and he said in no way are they cheaper then anyone, and good luck having this resolved.I will take this to court because the bill again is over $270 for gas and electricity for a 1 bedroom $700 square foot condo my own parents 2500 square foot at the time was $320...onaverage those months as well

I wish I could give negative stars. Just Energy made it impossible to cancel my plan when I moved. I now have an outrageous bill and still cannot get ahold of the company. I would recommend absolutely any company over Just Energy.

Just Energy customer alert! Check your bill in details that you will see what they called Green Energy Program" Option on you bill. They charge you 2.5C/KWH more. This is 30% increment more than the rate they posted(6.8C). As an option
