Dr. Omar Dessouki

An amazing doctor. He treated my mom and did a total knee replacement. This is her second knee replacement, but 1st time with Dr. Dessouki. My mom has not stopped raving about him. The surgery was 10X better than the first one (that was done by another doctor). She is 6 weeks post surgery and feeling amazing. He was always a call or msg away and answered any and all questions. Great range of motion and bending.An amazing doctor with great technique, and the best bedside manners I’ve have ever experienced! Great professional , friendly person, cares for patients.I had arthroscopy performed on my knee by dr Dessouki. It went exactly how dr Dessouki explained to me. Everything went smoothly without any setbacks or complication during and after the surgery. My knee is back in good shape and my life returned to normal.I couldn't believe that the result can be so good .

I was sent to Dr. Dessouki due to my severe deterioration of my right hip. My hip deteriorated so fast I was not prepared for a total hip replacement, but Dr. Dessouki spent time to explain the surgery and reassured me of a positive outcome. His confidence in his surgical ability to help me walk again and relieve me of my severe pain was a dream come true.Dr. Omar Dessouki is the most positive, confident, compassionate accurate surgeon I know. Had my ACL reconstruction and Meniscus Scope in December 2022! Dr Dessouki was amazing, and is a very awesome dude! Made me feel really comfortable about the whole thing and is very knowledgeable. 10/10 would tear my ACL again!

Dr. Dessouki was incredible! He did surgery on my arm in February and he made breaking my first bone ever a great experience! He was very supportive with my anxiety and fear of having surgery! Him and his team were always there to put a smile on my face! I had a giant nail and 6 screws put in my humerus bone and within 5 weeks I was able to lift my arm up to the sky, that just proves how great of a good he did! :) Highly recommend him and his team!

I fell and shattered my upper arm. It was the day after Xmas and the emergency surgery by Dr. Dessouki was done well after midnight. When I woke up in a hospital bed wearing a massive slab cast about 8 a.m., Dr. Dessouki appeared suddenly and asked me with concern if I could move my fingers as he had had to move a large nerve to reassemble my arm bone. I was shocked to see him as he must have been up all night or had had two or three hours of sleep at most. I asked him do you ever sleep??" He just laughed a little. I have fifteen screws in my arm andI have fully recovered with full arm and hand function. Dr. Dessouki was fantastic."

He is an amazing surgeon. He takes the time to explain things. Also, he listens to what you have to say and how much pain you are in. We need more caring doctors like him.

I did not get the opportunity to thank Dr. Dessouki in person and want to take this opportunity to do so. I am a 53yr old paraplegic and managed to break my femur at the hip. Dr. Dessouki performed surgery on my hip and l was discharged from hospital 36hrs later. The surgical site is clean and has almost completely healed. I cannot thank Dr. Dessouki enough. He is an amazing orthapedic surgen.

Horrible doctor for getting any information across to you.. doesn’t answer nurses tending to his patients…. Gets defensive when asked serious questions that he doesn’t want to answer.. and likes to argue when he knows he wrong….. all around great doctor… lol so called best in Durham…

I had a full hip replacement on March 13, 2019 and the surgery went fantastic, Dr Dassouki was awesome to deal with his bedside manner was amazing, you hear all the time that surgeons are not approchable welll not with this doctor he was great. I had heard that he was amazing but others told me to go to Toronto that they were better there, but because of the reviews I read and after meeting him I knew I was going to wait for this doctor. My wait time was quite long but worth every minute the surgery went great I was up and functioning within 2 weeks it's been 5 weeks now and I'm driving and barely using a cane the scar is barely noticeable. I am going to have my left hip done hopefully not right away but I would never go to anyone else this doctor is more then amazing so please if you want a great experience with a great doctor Omar Dassouki is the one to go see His secretary Laurie is also amazing she is a very busy lady in this office but always answers all your questions and is a joy to deal with.Thank you to both of you such a great experienceKathy Z
