Archambault

Italmélodie up to 2016 is what used to be the absolute biggest music store in town.A music gear museum where they had almost everything. Archambault is n-o-w-h-e-r-e close for selection, knowledgeable staff, parts, etc. It now looks like a Canadian Tire Jack-of-all-trades (Definitely Master of none). There used to be a full row for each type of guitars not even including the ones you could order online, now what's on the shelf is what we have to offer". As for one small example

We visited the bookstore part to get some kid books in French. They have an OK selection for kids. The staff is nice as well. They also have an upstairs with many music instruments for sale but we didn’t spend time there. I can recommend this place if you are in town and looking for books.

Super Music, Books and Art Store, Library and many morel! Wowed a beautiful place! The librarian help us to find what we need ! Professional, Polite and knowledgeable! I would recommend to everyone!

Hi!I bought a wooden toy set (SES creative)for my 6 year old from your Jean Talon store yesterday. I was very excited hoping my little kid could learn the ropes and enjoy wood work which she always watched me and her older sibling do.Much to my dismay this product is not even usable. The wood pieces are good quality soft wood but in very thin sections that a kid cannot construct with it. Neither me or my 11 year old could work on it without making a splinter. The nails are too long for the thin sections. The wood pieces should have been thicker to be used by little kids.And I paid over CAD40 for this.This is very poor quality of products from your shop.My 6 year old was very excited with this new toy but it is so disheartening to see her being let down by poor craftmanship. Hope there is some way to return this.When we opened this toy we had no intention to return it. But this item is not at all functional.Please advise the next steps.

Nice spot to find about anything related to calm entertainment... Books, games, crafts, puzzles etc...

Great book store and musical instruments store. I specially liked this branch. It is large, great number of books and instruments. It is open until 9pm including weekends

Nice store, decent selection, friendly staff. Why 2 stars? Because they're my neighbourhood local music shop and to my surprise, they won't price match, even on items that are nation-wide sales from other dealers. I get that Archambault is a bigger brand name now and maybe they might not need" the sale but when all your competitors are running a sale on an item (at the exact same price!)

THERE ARE K-POP ALBUMS, just ask an employee and they’ll show you where they are but they’re like 50$, I still got one cuz I don’t want to wait a week for my preordered albums to arrive so yeah

The service here is excellent, the girls that helped me find was I was looking for were super attentive and kind. The only thing that disappointed me a little bit was that the books were not in a very good state, I wanted to buy one but it wasn't well taken care of.
