Best Western Maple Ridge Hotel

Didn’t think I could get a great hotel to stay at when in Maple Ridge but this hotel is so clean and always there to help if you need something. Beds are cozy! Breakfast is great!! Scrambled eggs and toast etc plus coffee all the time at the reception at any time! Of course in the room too. Fridge, microwave in the room. A tub and shower. This place is clean did I say that? I’m so happy with this place!

It was very disheartening to find out how a friend of mine with a dog that is walking across Canada to raise awareness about homelessness and raising funds to have homeless shelters accept petshad a offer from one of his MANY supporters to rent him a room at a Best Western in Maple RidgeThe hotel said there was one pet friendly room available ...But as soon as the staff found out he was homelessThe available room all of a sudden became unavailable......There was no issue about payment ..The payment was thereThis is a case of discrimination and ignoranceand the staff at Best Western should be ashamed ...We will never support best western anywhere again because of this disgusting ignorant behavior

Good experience in the past, small but adequate indoor swimming pool (great for the kids!) laundry room, and free continental breakfast every morning. I've stayed at this location twice the last time in August 2019. Due to the worldwide epidemic of covid, I have not been able to come back. Although prices have jumped dramatically and 3 weeks stay to visit family is now almost $5000.Shame the Econolodge opposite Best Western burnt down in 2020 it was a decent motel despite what people have said about it in reviews. It was plenty affordable 4 walls and a roof more than enough, never got bothered by any of the other tenants during my stay.

Room was spotless. Front desk staff professional and informed. The lobby was well laid out and comfortable. The pool and hot tub in great working order. The included breakfast was amazing. Food choices offered were well thought out as well as the layout of the food and room. The Breakfast attendant was so helpful as I was on my cane the Sunday morning. Will definitely stay again the next time our organization has an event in Maple Ridge.

I was somewhat hesitant about this hotel after reading the very mixed reviews. Here for work, I wanted a place that was clean, safe and convenient to where I needed to go. I was pleasantly surprised. No it’s not fancy…it’s a Best Western…but it met my requirements of safe, clean and convenient. Very friendly staff, clean and decent sized room, fridge and microwave worked fine. Yes there is noise from the highway right out front, but it was more like a white noise for me so it didn’t keep me awake. As others have mentioned, the bathroom area where the toilet and shower are is quite small but at least the sink is outside that so not an issue. The bed was a bit hard for my liking but since everyone has their own preference on something like that, I can’t blame the hotel on that one. Over all, very pleasantly surprised and I’d have no problem staying here again for work purposes.(And if you stay here, check out Home Restaurant across the street. Great “comfort food” type dishes on the menu!!)

Room was reserved more than 24 hrs in advance and it wasn’t ready. We arrived after 5pm. Very rude to my husband who is a veteran with PTSD. They offered no solutions and offered nothing to compensate us for the inconvenience of missing an important military dinner we were to attend due to their inability to have our room ready.The next day they were either changing the flooring or mattresses. They leaned the mattress along the hallway wall to take it out of the room while they worked. It was covered with blood stains and piss stains and unrecognizable stains. GROSS glad we did not have that room. Upon leaving and paying our bill, the manager was further rude to my husband. He told my husband that he scared the girl at the desk that night. If she was scared why was she laughing and sharing high fives with my husband while she helped him get snacks out of the malfunctioning vending machine. The manager then told my husband don’t bother ever coming back.To anyone who likes a clean bed, who may have any type of disability that won’t be obvious, who expects excellent customer care when things go wrong, avoid this motel.

Where should I start? We found this hotel upon finding out we had a surprise event held in Canada. Seemed decent enough so we booked it. Upon arriving, checking in and going to the room, we were presented with bloody woman underwear inside the sheets. When we presented said underwear to the staff, the lady there started accusing us, and was implying that we did that. She then said she will refund us, and refused to provide a receipt of refund. The manager was to chicken-sh** to come out to talk to me when I asked. We left shortly after giving them a piece of our mind. DONT STAY HERE.

This hotel is not located in the best part of town. It is next to a down and out trailer park. The smell of weed occasionally wafted through our room. The hallways are decorated with dark carpet and the doors are painted dark. It doesn't have a bright and airy feel. Make sure you arrive early for breakfast as some of the hot food doesn't get replenished. If you wait for your toast to automatically pop out of the toaster, it'll be burnt. Keep an eye on it. Another guest backed into our vehicle and drove off. Luckily, we got their license plate but the front desk clerk was unable to give us their contact info because the paperwork had magically disappeared. You might want to consider staying somewhere else.

This hotel is in rough shape. From the marks on the walls, the towels being dirty, a used band-aid being in the bathroom when we arrived into the room, ants crawling on the floor and wall, dust built-up that was not cleaned the entire time of our stay and very hard and uncomfortable beds. The room was very dark and dingy and the only thing nice about the room was that it had new floors and a large fridge.
