My procedures went well. However, finding where I was supposed to go was a nightmare. My son and I wandered corridors, followed directions, looked repeatedly at maps, and finally found the right elevators.

I don't know where to begin. My mother who is in her late 80's has been admitted twice once in 2009 and then now 2016; the staff is absolutely great. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, Out of all the hospitals in Vancouver Area I would say St. Paul's is the best. The hospital staff, nurses and physicians humbly honour the name of the Saint it is named after by practicing sympathy, care and respect. Bravo. Merci

I only have been to the Cardiac Ward for a loved one's ailment. The staff are professional and very friendly. I go there usually once a year. They seem like a tight-knit family. Happy hospital employees make all the difference for the patients.

My first son was born at St Paul's 33 years ago and now due to health issues I myself spend a lot of time in this hospital. I must say that the gift shop is an absolute gem. I just wish that it would open up again so people could shop inside again. Buying through plexiglass at the entrance is probably causing a major decline in sales. The restrictions are being lifted everywhere else. Even if 3 people ar a time could go in, that would be great.

I would like to sincerely thank the staff from the trauma, emergency and neurological sections of St Paul's for their fast response, professionalism and compassion. While recently on vacation from Australia I was rushed to the ER Department with sudden memory loss and suspected stroke. A very big thank you to all staff who attended me. My care and treatment was first rate and my recovery has been complete. Thankyou St Paul's.

I arrived at a very busy emergency department about two weeks ago and I must say that I was completely impressed by the level of professionalism and efficiency with which I was taken care of from the moment I walked into emergency to the time of my discharge approximately 24 hours later.I was quickly assessed and under the constant watchful eyes of highly professional staff. I was seen by no less than four, possibly five doctors (including two full-time staff, a fellow and two residents) and four nurses who were completely up to date on my situation every shift change and attended my every need and comfort. All healthcare staff acted in unison and were very good at communicating when I needed anything done down to the minute. The lab technicians who drew blood no less than three times spaced throughout my stay and an EKG technician were extremely efficient and I barely felt any needles as they were very good at inserting them. They were fast, in and out in less than three minutes; even the EKG took less than 6 minutes at my estimation.I found the hospital exceptionally clean and witnessed very thorough cleaning staff making their rounds several times a day. The porters were very cheerful and they flew me all around the hospital in comfort and style. One of them actually cracked me up with her jokes and antics - it was very amusing and I enjoyed the ride thoroughly. The nurses were also cheerful. I must say that cheerful staff certainly made me feel much better beyond all the health care I was receiving because I was scared (but didn't show it because I was manning up".)This particular hospital is very busy and it's a teaching hospital and I was so impressed with how they cared for people much worse off than me (in my humble estimation) who were in emergency and in the other departments I saw during my stay. The staff were super professional in what I witnessed and overheard during a crowded emergency and icu ward. Some people were in very rough shape and proved to be difficult to care for (I'm sure they didn't mean to be difficult and no doubt because they were probably very ill) but the staff never let up and didn't show any sign of losing their composure. The nurses in particular seem to be in the trenches so-to-speak and they were so pleasant and encouraging

St Paul's and Providence Healthcare in general I have had only great experiences with. All outpatient testing I have had here has been very smooth, the technicians are always pleasant, the facilities are always clean, and it has never felt crowded.

All of the staff in emergency were polite and considering it was a Saturday, we were seen by a doctor quite quickly. Dr. Marsden was extremely polite and did not hesitate in getting blood tests and a CT scan done that same afternoon. We preferred this Hospital much much more than Lions Gate!
