I had a great experience with national. They were extremely flexible and accommodating for my ever-changing schedule. They were even understanding and happy to help when I told them I'd like to drop off their brand new car at a location 1600km away! Highly recommend.

In the past 4 years I have had to deal with a car rental company for personal business starting off with a round trip from London to Regina for my wife and I. I picked National because by joining Emerald Club I received a one time discount which made them a great deal. Since then the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the condition of the vehicles and the little perks of dealing with someone who treats you like family have kept me coming back. The service has always been 5 star, the product has always exceeded our needs and the support has been unending. Friendly Staff, Top Notch Cars, Bend over backward service and always smiles.

Impossible to get in touch with anyone over there. I needed to check some details about this location before making the reservation. Trying multiple times over a week now but no one answers the phone and no VM.

Called to reserve a car. I was told I had one. They gave me a confirmation number and told me my car would be ready at 1pm. When I arrived after paying cab fare to pick up my car I was told that they had no car for me but placed me on a waiting list as if that would somehow solve my immediate transportation problems. The sales rep then refused to even try to compensate for my cab fare. I was lied to the whole way through. Truly, if you don't have a car available, don't tell me that you do. Be honest if it's not to hard.

Very smooth process reserving and picking up the rental. Staff at the counter made everything easy and were very friendly and efficient. Vehicle was clean and very easy to find in the lot.

Edit: National did the right thing by reviewing our experience and provided most of our refund. I changed from 1 star to 3 stars to reflect this. However, the poor customer service of the staff led to a charge I never agreed to with verbal confirmation. Still won't use this company again as the trust was broken; competitors have done much better in comparison.By far, this was the worst car rental experience I have ever had. The lineups were long and the staff were slow at check in. That is fine given a busy flight. What was unacceptable is 1) the staff tried to charge us for the rental at the time of pickup even though the rental had been booked/paid for through a third party. 2)The staff who assisted did not appear to understand their system or what she was doing. The staff told us about no additional fees when she asked if we wanted to add a driver to the rental. Staff gave us a tiny piece of paper with the car keys that included nothing about charges, rates, etc. so we did not get a copy of the rental agreement. 3) When we returned the car, staff took the keys in the parking lot and claimed they would just email an invoice. At the airport, in the secure gate area, I saw the invoice and called staff immediately as they appeared to charge a large amount on my credit card. The staff on the phone told me directly that they had not processed any charges on my credit card so I left the airport thinking all was good. Not so - within a few business days, the charge that I was questioned was posted to my credit card.I could never recommend this location. Do not walk away with keys in your hand for a rental unless you have everything in writing from the staff and you take your proof" with you. Watch for hidden fees that are not disclosed."

Very good service and location. Highly Recommended.The staff really helped when booking the vehicle and provided assistance exactly when I needed it at the price I could afford.No hassles or pushing to sell other options when renting. They provided the service I expected without any surprises... I would and will definitely use National Car Rental in London again.

Baffled at how this location has so many positive reviews. No only were we lied to and told they ‘didn’t have a car for us’ they magically found one, and instead of cancelling our previous reservation or transferring it, made a new one, and instead of the online coverage being 11.99 a day charged an outrageous 31.99 a day.When I contacted National they very kindly agreed to a refund, as this wasn’t right.Today, after returning our car, we saw they had charged us for the full online booked rental price, and ALSO the deposit for the car we actually rented. This maxed out our credit card.After a long time on the phone with two employees, the amazing Dewey sorted it out for us, ensuring a reversal for All the extra fees and Extra Car we were forced to pay for.London airport location were dishonest and cost us a lot of money and time. National car rental help line and specifically DEWEY was the star that saved the day. We were absolutely paralyzed until he sorted us out .So cheers to a human going above and beyond, and we hope someone checks out what’s going on at that location because never, ever again.

I reserved a full size vehicle with unlimited KMs for 366$. I called national to verify that if I drop the vehicle off at a different location, the charges would be minimal. They said a 15 dollar fee. Once dropped off, I find out they charged me KMs. My bill is more than double at 850$.After getting off the phone with national the second time, I find out that there are hidden terms in the contract with my company that the customer service rep doesn't get to see.They've refunded me half the extra charges, but had I been given useful information in the first place, I would have dropped this vehicle off and taken alternative transport for significant savings. I'm annoyed that I went above and beyond to get useful information and make sure I wouldn't be charged more, and still was.The conclusion I hope national enjoys the extra money they took, and avis enjoys the monthly truck rental this episode has gained them. I wonder if avis has a rewards program and if they do a status match with executive elite?The cherry on the cake is I was given a smaller car than I rented.
