McCleery Golf Course

Excellent service, staff so nice, friendly and helpful. I was so happy that way they explain to you all game rules, keep it up guys. Great prices, definitely will go back to play a little bit more.

McCleery is a great course and has a fantastic range and practice facilities. During covid they practice social distancing and are decently organized when it comes to letting people in to the pro shop and range.Although sometimes there are plenty of empty mats at the range, sometimes the staff can't see and people need to wait longer than they need to.The course is awesome and well kept.

The starter/Marshall at the evening round was extremely rude, aggressive and abusive. He literally said the words ‘f*** no’ when asked a very simple and polite question.The beauty of the course was ruined by the attitude of the starter. We were looking forward to a beautiful game but we’re extremely put off by his negative disposition. Action must be taken to condemn such behaviour. Such a pity that staff acts in such an awful manner.He was wearing a white tee shirt and a hat.

Recently, a buddy of mine and I visited mcCleery golf course. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we were both thrilled to play a good old round of golf. It was our first time there and we were unfamiliar with the Vancouver golfing system as we were from Calgary. We politely requested for 2 golf carts and announced our age to be 18 to the 2 receptionists. They told us that we had to be 19 to operate a golf power cart. We cooperated and accepted this fact and paid for our green fees. Knowing of our ages, the receptionists still charged us adult green fee prices. We later were told by a marshal working there that youth 18 and under have a different rate than adults. We then went back another day with our receipts and government issues ID to ask for the overcharged fees to be refunded and was told that we were the ones at fault of being charged double the price of what youth should have been charged. We were disappointed and frustrated as we were denied the opportunity of driving a power cart and being DOUBLE-CHARGED for our green fees.

It's a nice golf course runs by the city. The place is well keep. The restaurant is good for a simple meal and coffee.

The golf course is nice and I play about 30 times a year there usually with no issues, however, my reason for writing comes from a terrible experience with the Pro shop employee working today (Sunday, May 21st) named Teddy who was incredibly rude and unnecessarily snarky over a lost Junior Membership card. Even after I suggested he could look me up in the system by phone number or email as I play there frequently, he still acted in a needless and dramatic way and offered no help to rectify the situation whatsoever. After another (far more helpful and competent) employee gave me a replacement for the lost card, Teddy even went as far as to chip in with snide comments. For example, when I briefly glanced in his direction while the other employee was helping print my new card, he asked If I had a staring problem"

Very rude staff and course not maintained well. Leaves all over the greens, middle of fairway just looks like it was eaten up by a tank. I was shocked at the marshals and how they speak to guests in such condescending manner. First time there and just was very disappointed.

Paid this course a visit twice while I was in Vancouver during the summer. This is a public course which is very well take care of. The only problem with this course is the mosquitos. They will definitely eat you alive during the summer months, so bring repellent. The greens were great and always in god shape. For a public course , you can’t ask for much more. Hit them long and straight! The staff very super friendly and helpful!
